Len Bias was one of the best players to have ever played for Maryland. His death shocked the Maryland area. His younger brother had so much pressure put on him to be like Len. That he couldn't handle it. Tragic family situation, A mother losing 2 of her son's. 🙏🏽 You could not defend his jump shot. Have you seen how much height he got with that shot ?. It was smooth as glass. He was an aggressive power forward who could score. His hops were crazy good. He was 2 years younger than Jordan and there college stats are very similar. Imagine him learning how to be a pro from those Celtic veterans. Unstoppable. 🤔

I have to fact you on two points. Len Bias played small forward, also both Lenny and Michael were both born in 1963, Jordan in February and Lenny in November of that year. Lightning struck place in 1963, it's kinda like Prince and Michael Jackson both being born in 1958.

I love Juan and Stevie Francise.. but Bias was so good that most who watched him understand he was a 6'9" muscular version of MJ w a better jumper

Air Jordan....could you have imagined shoes of "High Bias"? He could so soar....you could not stop him. Had he had a better supporting cast...would have been to the F4 2-3 times. I had the chance to meet him twice...pretty humble actually. Such a tragedy self inflicted.

I grew up a Georgetown Hoyas fan, and I have no shame in admitting that Len Bias...from rival Maryland, was, and will forever be my favorite all time player regardless of level.

Thank you Scott for the transparency of your college experience i worked for sheriff's and saw every home game in 86 Lenny's legacy will always be a cautionary tale to young adults who feel the best way to disengage is through drugs.

He was equal to MJ at the same stages in their careers.Len was about 6'8" 222lbs( chisled) and MJ 6'6" 195lbs( lean). If Len was able to live to his prime 28/29 yrs old.He would've played at around 242lbs considering MJ was about 216lbs in his prime. He would've been LeBron before LeBron with a better J.
