I favorite Lenny Kravitz story is when his mother was dying.....He was staying at producer Rick Rubins house and he had gone there to grab a shower before returning to the hospital...He gets cleaned up and is about to return to the hospital when he gets the call his mother has passed....When who should walk in the room but Johnny and June Carter Cash....He tells them the news hardly knowing them and they come over and gave him a big hug and prayed with him

He has inspired so many people. He has touched my life through some of the worst times, the hungry searching times, and the best times. All with the same music all written over the same amount of years. I love this young man I am about to turn 60 in January, without his music, I can honesty say, I would not be here if not for the love and spirit I feel from it.

I just simply love and adore this man, ever since hearing him at the age of eleven. “Fly Away” was one of the first songs of his, I heard.💝🍂💝 He absolutely is an incredibly talented man.

He was the first artist I saw live. I was 7 and he opened for The Rolling Stones in Foxboro, MA in 1994. Happy to say I became a fan of his that night. It’s ok folks, my parents were hippies and I turned out just fine haha

Great story! His mom was Afro-Caribbean, and her family came from the Bahamas, there is a great video on RU-vid where he shares his Caribbean family history and cultural roots.

Wow…that story about Lisa bonet being half black and half jewish was amazing. Two bad they broke up. Uncertain why. But, i really like Lenny….he’s so familiar in a humbling sort of way. I don’t hear from him these days….wonder if he still is in the Bahamas. That was also an amazing story about his Dad.

I know the obvious comparison is Price, but he literally has said it before. It was Michael Jackson. For me as a fan of Lenny, I can clearly see his big influence of Michael jackson, and Led Zeppelin. I mean he even performed for LZ as an honor. So just listen to Lenny music, and you can see the mixture of those MJ and LZ. It ain't over till it's over.... is like never can say goodbye from J5, and always on the run...is like LZ The girl i love she got long black wavy hair. Even in his dress style is a combination of 80s mj and 70s plant. I always love their music, so the first time i heard Lenny, I was blown away.

I am officially DONE with CBS Sunday morning. Ive watched it since the very 1st show. It was a sunday morning staple...until now. This was the only really decent piece of the show. I Love Lenny. I absolutely hate what you do twisting anti Trump retoric throughout nearly the WHOLE SHOW. Im not affiliated with R or D. I just hate your snarky, nasty twisted one sided comments. Ya'll pretend to be so PC as a cover for opinion dominated "news" yet your propaganda is ALL that comes across. This used to be a really great show but no more.
