Lenovo 5i Gaming Chromebook - Is it worth it??? 

I don't really get your math on the costs. For example whichever laptop or pc you get, the cost of the games is going to be the same. The example you gave of a one time price of a ~$2000 gaming laptop wasn't factoring in the cost of the games on top of that. So assuming the cost of the games is going to be the same no matter what pc you get, then the cost difference is going to be between the cost of a gaming laptop or pc with similar specs to a 4080 setup (probably around $2000-$3000) compared to the cost of this particular chromebook plus the yearly subscription ($430+$240=$670). And that's way cheaper than $2000-$3000. Not to mention how much it costs to upgrade hardware specs for a gaming pc in 2-3 years time. (Or however long it takes for a computer's specs to start falling behind in terms of performance when compared to the current or latest available gaming hardware.) There's obviously pros and cons to both ways of gaming but it just didn't really seem like your costs estimates were very fair at least when compared to purchasing an entire gaming rig with similar specs to a 4080 that the ultimate tier provides. You did mention that in your case of already having an exceptional rig then its not worth it to you. And I can understand that. But not everyone has one or wants to put in the upfront cost to buy one and maintain it. Not saying one's better that the other, they're just different depending on the individual and what they prefer. But geforce and gaming aside, the laptop by itself is pretty nice having a 16 inch 2.5k 120hz display. Even just for casual use. Having those display specs in a laptop for $430 is pretty impressive.

Are there really only certain kind of Chromebooks that can run any video gaming software including old Gameboys, emulators for video games originally for Nintendo and 3ds? Also including like call of duty, GTA, and Minecraft? Will they be under an account where you can play them with your existing data from other devices and download mods to certain games on a Chromebook?
