wow pry it loose before you take out the screws that hold it in?hhmmmm... put a good fleeeex on those screw retainer posts..and they are using the rest of the pc so digging with a butterknife is so bad for the machine ANYTIME..im going to stop watching...too painful
The smaller one got completely ripped off the motherboard. It's almost as if it's glued in there. Cannot get the header of the cable even detached from the motherboard :/
Thank you very much! you were very helpful! Sadly the screen I ordered came broken and I took a long time to get to repair the computer. I think I will have to order a new screen and try again.
Absolute butchery. The most aggressive and risky way of dismantling these delicate systems. What a bad example. What disrespectful handling a customers valuable item. The damage you must have caused the plastic surround with that knife must be bad. Watch the Lenevo engineer do it on their website and you’ll learn something.
I feel it too.... Plus the snaps were already released when he opened.... I used a different guide with plastic ifixit and credit cards to pop the display and still cracked the lcd.... Glue is not always your friend... Using his hands to reattach the lcd? I would think you need proper even pressure... Miracle he didnt break his screen lots of times making this...
