i always wanted to buy a small compact PC but with gaming laptop hardware, Alienware used to have one but no one bought it so they stopped making the new generations, such a shame
Too funny. I have the Lenovo Duet and it also has the carpet. I like it because it is grippy but I bet in 20 years we are going to look at it and laugh like we look at shag carpeting now.
If possible, while you show RU-vid performance you could also include CPU monitor in Task Manager to show how stressed it is. It could be say 50% or 95%, and it makes a difference when someone thinks about running some tasks in the background at the same time.
CPU usage when playing RU-vid is typically very minimal because video decoding is mostly hardware accelerated. This is not the case for some videos and ultra high definite 8k though, which is often encoded in the newer AV1 format which is only hardware accelerated on intel’s tiger lake and rocket lake CPUs, along with the latest AMD and Nvidia GPUs.
Zosu's reply below is why I don't show this. It's mostly hardware accelerated and won't show up in a CPU usage chart and would thus be unnecessary and confusing to the viewer.
HI Lon, really like your channel, you do a great job. Thought you may want to know that the CPU IS socketed. If you have the I3 version, you should be able to upgrade to an I5. Take care.
It is very annoying, that the front USB port is turned upside down. This makes it useless for USB sticks :-( The HDMI also turned upside down. But DP is built in in correct orientation. In the age of silent PCs I am always very interested in the annoying cooler noises. How about that here at 35W?
My wife had to replace her MacBook, at the time earlier this year the new Macs were out ... like SOLD OUT. With that... she got the Mac Mini ... for $800, which as far as I can tell a superior machine all around especially with that new WHATEVER Apple processor.
Hello, RU-vid just coughed up your video. Just like to let you know that CC on this video is not providing English but a Asian language. I’m in Canada 🇨🇦 thanks Lon.
Would make some design sense if it had a wireless charger on top. Otherwise, why for... any of this? It's big enough to fit a MXM GPU. Missed opportunity
The carpeting looks like it would match well with an Amazon Echo dot 4th gen in grey ,the system itself looks very much like a reinvention of the small form factor upright systems by the same company .The specs are quite good and enough for the home market ,which must be diminishing somewhat with the prevalence of mobile and tablet use .
I"ve bought two Lenovo computers. NEVER again!! Infected with proprietary bloatware that can not be deleted. I build my own computers now and run Linux, Firefox and open source software. I choose what goes on MY computer not some corporate minion.
These reviewers are full of dudu! 6 core cpu these dyas is for basic tasks only. Problem with this statement is that basic tasks are no different than 5 years ago but jump in cpu perf is massive. 6 core 10400t is miore than enough for anything these days of course not gaming as this required descrete gpu.
