For me personally, I think 24 inch monitors are the biggest I can do without getting headaches. I use to use 2x 27 inch monitors for photo work but I found I was sitting too close. I now switch to 21 to 24 inch monitors and my eyes are thanking me. But personally, 22 inch monitors are my preference. QHD looks amazing on 24 inch monitors and is pretty good for 27 inches. However 1080p on 27 inch I can't do. Just wanted to give me opinion too!
Agree, but in my country not much choice for 24 inch 2k, just a lot for gaming monitor than productivity, mostly 24 fhd, 27 fhd even 32 fhd lol...., for myself really love vivid, after surfing, there is only 183 ppi, the best sharpness on monitor PC at 24 inch 4K, but i'm still searching, which one the best AOC Q24P2C, LG 24UD58, DELL P2421D, ACER VG240YU, and this one Lenovo L24q-30
@@TechGuyBeau do you use 125% scaling with both 1440p monitors? I have got 27" 1440p recently and it is tooooo small for browsing or anything except games. Meanwhile, if i use 125% scale in windows, the sharpness becomes even a little bit worse than 24" 1080p
Just picked up this 24 inch as a secondary monitor. 2k on a 24 inch has such a high ppi that it almost looks like my 32" 4k. Was finally able to find a small monitor in vertical orientation that would pair well with my 32" and not look out of place. The colors on this thing is amazing and the 75hz is a nice boost. Only negative is that the stand is a wobbly mess, just ordered a vesa monitor stand to replace it.
Is it just me or the 23.8inch has lower brightness on the sides? Left and rights side appear darker, or am I hallucinating? I am asking because I currently have a 24.1inch DELL, with small bezels (like this one) and I have noticeable darker brightness on the sides.
Hi Can we set 1920x1080 resolution with L24Q-30 ? If you do, aspect ratio and screen quality remains good? I feel QHD resolution is bit high for 24" screen from your video Thanks
Hi - I'm looking to buy a 2k 24" monitor and am essentially stuck between two options. Viewsonic vx2480-2k-shd and Lenovo L24q-35. Seems to me that the main difference between the two is that Lenovo has 300 nits vs Viewsonic's 250 nits. I will use it in a room with a lot of windows (I like light). What do you suggest getting? Should I pay around $50 more for the extra 50 nits of brightness here? Also Viewsonic is offering 5 years warranty vs 3 for Lenovo. So quite confused :) Please help!
Lenovo is superior IMO. The brightness is one thing, but you should also consider colours. Lenovo monitors have amazing colours. Great for gaming, even better for day to day use. I’ve tried other monitors afterwards and I find them very problematic Personally I’d drop the extra $50 and go Lenovo
@@TechGuyBeau Thank you. I know I could simply use DP, but my monitors are kinda far from the case, so I'm using 3-meter cables, one DP and one HDMI. If HDMI didn't deliver max settings, I'd have been forced to get another 3-meter DP.
I currently have a 4K 27" monitor but it's a bit too big for me. Do you think there would be a huge loss in text sharpness/clarity if I get a 24" 1440p monitor?
I've been using the l24q30 for nearly two years now and I'm really tired of the poor image quality/lighting. It makes my hear hurt. I liked it at first as it was so much better than the trashy monitors I had to return that I purchased on Amazon. I just want something now with excellent colours or more natural lighting. Wish I could have some recommendations.
Thank you for your review. I am thinking to get this one or the Q24H-10. My main work is text and it is very pixelated and fuzzy on my existing monitor with the native 1080p resolution. Will it solve the pixelation problem if I take the same 24 inch 1440p monitor? I sit and work about an arm length from the monitor.
Personally I cannot use 1080p monitors anymore. They appear blurry and non ideal for any productivity purposing. For pure gaming it isn’t as bad, but for desktop use i vastly prefer 1440p Any monitor 24inches to about 32 inches you would benefit greatly from 1440p instead of 1080p.
Q24H-10 is a newer monitor. It has more connectivity such as usb c and some other benefits. The panel itself if likely identical (based on the specs) so I would get the Q24H-10. Looks like it’s on sale right now too
Are you using it for anything other than desktop productivity? If it’s a productivity as a primary focus, it is hard to beat a Lenovo. Their out-of-the-box calibration is very good, and the colours and sharpness is superb. It can still be used as gaming, but it’s only 75 Hz If you want something that you will game on quite a bit, there might be better options. Really depends on your use
I'd like to see how bad the motion blur is on the 24 inch with the UFO Blur Busters test. Been thinking of trading my 1080p 144hz TN panel in for a 1440p 75hz IPS panel (maybe OC it further to 80hz?). But I don't know if I can tolerate the lower refresh rate or the worse blur of cheap IPS panels.
