So I bought this laptop a few months ago and I really love it. The only thing I would say is that the fans get slightly loud when I play demanding games but everything runs perfectly

Mad respect to Lenovo for building their gaming laptops to almost the same quality as their Mil-spec business/enterprise class laptops. You'd think that the Legion series being consumer grade would mean that thermals will kill it within 3-5 years, but it seems rock solid. As it should be for the price you pay (*cough* Intel Macbooks)

Dave, I came back here just to say thank you for the amazing review. I finally bought the Legion 5 Ryzen 5, RTX 2060 version last week. This thing is really bang for the bucks! Awesome screen, great performance, also great cooling! The GPU temperature stays at 75 degree even after long session of gaming. It is just a very good gaming laptop for the money. Some people doesn't like the design tho, but for me personally it is a very subtle look with iridescent Legion branding and I love it.

I have the Legion 5 3060 RTX, 120hz . Screen is bad, it actually is bad. The laptop has an annoying coil whine so I have to shut down every night before going to sleep, it's that annoying. The fans sometimes speed up when "idle" but actually it's "probably" because of windows background apps when I check in task manager sometimes, as far as I know. The (realtek) audio quality aren't good when using headphones (used 2 different headphones) and also the volume at max still isn't loud enough and when trying to maximise further it worsens the quality. The touchpad is awful. The left and right click buttons are part of the touchpad and it moves the cursor even when sliding on the very bottom of the buttons edges. I put velcro over the left click button area. Besides all this, the performance is amazing ._. That's not good enough, might as well buy a PC. If I could refund this laptop I'd just buy a PC or a more expensive gaming laptop.

Dave thank you so much for the review it was so useful. I have bought the Legion 5i 144hz, i7 10Gen, RTX 2060 version and I couldn´t be happier. The quality is so good, the cooling system is quiet and efficient, the performance is exactly what I was expecting. (Didn´t bought the AMD version bc it was not available in my country).

I have been using it since 2020 and recently upgraded the RAM to 64GB. Some people say it's not possible, but it actually works for me. Additionally, I have connected two extra displays to my setup, one through the HDMI port and the other through the USB Type C port.

Idk man but I choose the Amd Ryzen 7 4800H version with GTX 1660 Ti for only 1000$! Like that's in my opinion a really good price for that specification.
