Unfortunately, I cannot see any Lenovo Active Pens that work with Flex 3 ... however, this may change according to location, so please consult the official Lenovo Options Compatibility Matrix here - www.lenovo.com/accessoriesguide | Additionally, may I suggest trying EDIVIA Stylus Capacitive Pen [but again, location?]. I am in India , so I may see different search results than where in the world you are! :) That being said, thank you so much for sharing your question and sorry I could not be of further help. Hi I’ve got the Lenovo duet 3i but the Lenovo pen settings app isn’t working it say I need to download the Wacom driver and when I do it still doesn’t work. But in the Lenovo website it says my laptop is compatible with the pen

What you are doing should work, it must be frustrating, because Wacom is recommended on the Lenovo website too: support.lenovo.com/ma/en/downloads/ds548662-wacom-pen-driver-for-windows-10-64-bit-yoga-duet-7-13itl6 Maybe you could scan the QR code for Lenovo eSupport on your laptop , or contact them over the local customer support number in your country/region. Sorry I couldn't offer more help...

Hi NC, first of all thnx to U for watching and asking your Q! :) It seems weird that the "Connect..." blue button doesn't show. Before trying the last resort I have suggested below, just make sure your laptop's Bluetooth is turned on, and try relaunching the Lenovo Pen Settings app. If that simple step doesn't work, the quickest and easiest fix would be to uninstall and reinstall the Lenovo Pen Settings app. You can download it here [ lenovo-pen-settings.en.softonic.com/ {or any other trustworthy website, I play no favorites :)}] for the version of Windows [e.g. mine is 10] you are using. Last resort: if even uninstall/reinstall doesn't work, contact Lenovo support for your country here [e.g. India - support.lenovo.com/in/en ; change the region by clicking the flag]. I hope you manage to connect your Lenovo Pen to your laptop soon without hassles. Namaste!

Hi Leon RC! First of all, awesomax name man! 👏🏽 Thanks for asking your Q; you can take out the battery by unscrewing the blunt end to turn off the Lenovo Active Pen. There is no other way; this is the way (as The Mandalorian says 😄).

Hello i have a question, when you activated the pen and you draw with it, because the screen is a touch screen, when you touch it with your finger does it still respond? Or does it only respond to the pen?

Thank you for sharing your question! :) It depends on your touch screen features. If it has palm rejection, it will ignore your finger or other touches except the pen. May I know what model laptop you are using with the pen?

Hi BP, thank you for watching and asking your question. Is the AAAA cell [included with the Lenovo Pen] past the expiry date? If you haven't used the Pen, it might have gotten discharged. If you are unsure, try a new AAAA cell for your Lenovo Active Pen. The Lenovo Vantage app should be able to detect your pen as shown in my video. If helpful, please consider subscribing to my channel and ask further questions!

Hi MA, if the detachable tablet D330 touch screen is what you are asking about, then yes, it supports the Lenovo Active Pen. I recommend getting the Active Pen 2 to ensure compatibility. :)

I have Idea D330 (Detachable), this pen is compatible as per specs. However, my problem is that Lenovo Pen Settings is not installing in my system (there are many posts in the help thread)....I am curious to know Windows Pen and Ink interface can connect the pen or not (if yes, then i will buy)

@vivekroy7054 Hi Vivek! Thanks for your patience. It seems like the Lenovo Pen should work natively with Windows 11 (I assume your D330 runs on W11?). Try this: To pair a pen with your PC, select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Hold down the Top button on your pen for seven seconds to turn on pairing mode, then choose the pen from the list of devices and select Pair. Hope this works for you!

Hi PTP! Thnx for watching and sharing your question! The top button of the pen works as an on/off switch. You can check the function of both buttons in the Lenovo app; in case the function has changed, you can change it back to on/off. In my experience, I simply leave the pen aside when I don’t use it. After a while it goes to sleep, and when I click the top button it wakes up almost instantly. Hope this helps; please subscribe and enjoy my other videos for awesomax fun! 🙏🏽😁

Hi Jorja, you might want to check after replacing the battery inside the pen. Sometimes, the power inside the battery gets drained even if it has not been used. Which country are you in?

To be slightly more technically precise brand-wise, AAAA is Duracell type number MN2500 or MX2500 and Energizer type number E96. Although I don't think you need this much info! :D

I got the same pen as you, but Lenovo pen settings show a different pen, and I wonder if this makes my pen very unresponsive. Do you have any idea if I can "reinstall" or configure, so it becomes more accurate and the same pen, I have?

Hi Julie A.H., thanks for asking your question! I think you might try "Restore default settings" in your Lenovo Pen Settings to see if it makes a difference in the accuracy. As far as I know, there is no option to reinstall this app - but that may be because the India website of Lenovo doesn't have such an option. You may want to check your country's dedicated Lenovo website in case there is an option to update/reinstall Lenovo Pen Settings - but I feel that is a long shot. You could also try adjusting the "Pen Tip Sensitivity" to see if it improves usage. If these steps do not work, then try visiting a physical Lenovo store or authorized service center for hands-on support. It would be awesomax if you'd subscribe; thanks once again! :)

Apart from the usual turn-off-turn-on-reconnect, there doesn’t seem to be any other solution to low/erratic sensitivity of the Lenovo pen. I'm frustrated. The application I downloaded looks different than yours. It doesn't show the correct type of pen either. Neither does it have the "connect" option.

And is it running Windows 11? I ask this because my laptop at the time was a Lenovo C340 on Windows 10, so the Lenovo Connect app might have changed with the new Windows version. You have to enable a setting in windows to turn off finger input when the pen is detected hovering it took me 6vmonths to find this

Hi Sarojamma, thank you for watching and asking your question! There should be no significant wearing out of the tip. There is no option to replace the tip; you will have to get a new touchscreen pen compatible with Lenovo laptops or tablets if the pen tip is damaged/unresponsive. Have you used it already or are you looking to buy a new pen? PS: it would be awesomax if you would tap subscribe; every subscriber matters to me!

@SarojammaJakka I am in India 🇮🇳 😇 I have used the pen quite often, the screen shows more lines over areas of heavy usage; the tip of the pen is fine. (I wouldn’t go so far as to call the lines ‘scratches’ since they are not affecting the display) so all in all I’d say the screen is less durable than the pen tip. I’m glad to help out with any and all Qs! 😌 Hope you found our little channel worth subscribing! 🙏🏽😁

Hi Khushboo, unfortunately there is no Wacom support on the IdeaPad 3, meaning Lenovo's Active Pens are not compatible, and neither are pens using Wacom or Active Pen technology.

Hi Talia, thanks for watching and asking your question. If you did not get a battery with your pen, you can get one from the local stationery/electric shop. AAAA battery is required to operate the Active Pen, one size smaller than AAA.

Hi Jane! First of all, thank you for your question. It’s a good one and I don’t think anyone else has asked me earlier. If you have the same pen I do, simply close the Lenovo pen utility app on your laptop and it will disconnect after a little while without draining any battery life. You may press and hold the top button and see if it turns the pen off, but personally I don’t recommend this because it may interfere or disrupt the pen’s settings. So if you’re using your pen and it’s working fine, I suggest just putting it away after closing the pen utility app. Thnx again, and it would be awesomax if you could smash that sub button for awesomax fun! 🙏🏽😇

Hey@@Axat_ , yes, I'm using the same pen. But I didn't connect it to the app, it directly started working for me. So the pen automatically got connected to the app because the battery shows full, which was initially 0%. But I'm concerned about the battery life because the pen is connected to the app and the laptop all the time, even when the Bluetooth is off. On the app, it doesn't update the status of the connection (it shows connect....) but the battery life shows full. So this is actually confusing and there are no manuals to follow instructions to turn off the pen. So I technically don't understand how to turn it off? Because my pen's not connecting to the app.

@@janesusan373 i understand your concern ; it is a new thing that i have never encountered before. I know there is no instructions booklet or anything, which is frustrating. You could try 2 things: 1. Take the pen far away from the laptop [to breajk Bluetooth connection] for about 10 minutes , then see if it connects again automatically. 2. Keep an eye on the battery level and see if it starts running down even when you do not use the pen. Please let me know, thanks.

Hi Althea! Thank you for sharing your question; unfortunately it seems the Lenovo ideapad slim 3i does not support the Lenovo active pen range (my model is Lenovo active pen 1). I say this without knowing your country; please tell me where you are so I may confirm in case your local 3i model supports touch accessories like the pen.

However, I must say that 3i models do NOT support active pens in general. I may be mistaken, apologies :)
