I am very tempted for the bedroom alarm clock functions in particular the barely readable clock while you sleep, it’s dim enough to read without being so bright it hurts your eyes when you press to see time as is the norm or so bright it disturbs your sleep. I have my iPad with me while in bed but energy in its dimmest setting its much too bright if you just want to check the time.
Great review, (I love when put two fingers up to the plug!) was interested to see what this clock was like - I’ve got a Sony bsp60 which I love, great speaker and cool looking clock. And it dances when you put on music!!! It’s hilarious. Oh and you’re ONE subscriber away from 110K, congrats!
The amount of features on this is a bit disappointing, especially given that even Amazon's Echo Show 5 supports Spotify and video calls for the same money. Great review though!
@@TechSpurt The UK plugs weren't designed with any space-saving in mind... Aren't there even fuses in those plugs? Why do you need them with proper wiring in the house?! Then the power outlets have individual shutters on the wall and there isn't an alternative that doesn't have the earth-connection for low power devices (like chargers). Compare that to the Europlug which is super small :P
Do you know how to find the Mac Address on the smart clock itself? I live in a place with the type of WiFi where I have to register it as one of my devices and whenever I press show MAC address it says I need to look on the physical device for it, but I still don’t see it
Does it still works/alarm you, if its lose the wifi during the night? And what if there is a small power out during night, does it remember alarm act ? !!
It doesn’t help you when you guys in the UK have massive power plugs. You are ripped off on the price, Here in Australia it costs $120 AUD, 80 pounds is about $160 AUD!
This would be better if it HAD a camera and duewelled as a home security camera! Seems like it's dropped the ball before it's even started. 1gb ram.... ? No youtube? Nope... Not until it's got a LOT better! Big name... No party!
RE: Security camera. The Lenovo Smart Clock can show live feeds from compatible Nest cameras, as well as all cameras having the "works with the Google Assistant" certification.
The fact that it will hear you and do nothing has been a common issue the past few weeks. It happens every few months when Google decides to update something. It breaks every smart home device and it only works again when it decides to work again. It's really frustrating to see on my Smart Screen that it hears me, and shows what command I'm giving, but decides to do nothing. I suspect it might have something to do with other Assistant devices nearby and that it can't decide which device to handle the request, so it just says "fuck it" and does nothing instead.
Hi, I work on the Lenovo Smart Clock team. We've logged this issue with Google and will work with them to improve the uptime of the Google Assistant. Thank you for your feedback.
@@Mynabird1 I have no issue with Lenovo. I know that the problems are with Google. Thank you for actually caring. Way more than Google ever has. Cheers! And I look forward to buying the smart clock.
@@Mynabird1 Hi, I hope you don't mind if I request a little addition to the Smart Clock. I'd love if there was a standard beeping alarm sound to pick from. Thanks.
