I so appreciate this review, Andrew. I have been watching this tablet for some time now and I am so happy I got my hands on it for the deal that was given by Lenovo. Andrew, I think Lenovo has dropped the ball on PR for this amazing tablet. It's not in enough hands of youtubers and the buzz is just not there in comparison to what Samsung's S9 series is doing right now. This tablet is fast, keyboard is extremely functional, and the display in feature is totally unique. I'm glad I purchased this one.
That is the most amazing tablet i have ever seen. Better than a lot of laptops that are around on the market. Good cam, great speakers and mics. I am amazed...
@@ilhammohd3077Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is overall the superior device for performance, higher peak brightness, 4 years of Android updates, Dex support, etc. The only 2 things that Lenovo wins at is Dolby Vision support and DisplayPort IN support so you can use the tablet WIRED as a portable monitor whereas on the Samsung tablet you can only do that wirelessly.
Been waiting for this one. I love my tab s8 plus. But I may upgrade to this as the bigger screen and video-in for my steamdeck seems extremely benefical. Hopfully Lenovo competes with Samsung on updates.
I use this with my Steamdeck and Rog Ally and it is amazing. The display is very clear an the gaming experience is so fun. Such a unique feature that no other tablet has.
Hmm.. steamdeck..instead of my monitor..might be fit for me.. seems cheaper than Samsung..is there a smaller size for tHis? 14 might be too big to carry around
@@Cons2911 not really. Samsung's products are more clearly separated from their budget lines. Lenovo has the P11 series of tablets, but they are not a smaller version of the Tab Extreme which is unfortunate. They look similar, but the specs are completely different; they are budget class tablets.
my favorite tablet so far. I'm mising certain features that Samsung has spent years developing and baking into their products, but man, this magic keyboard style package is so worth it.
@@p.c.h.6721 some samsung ecosystem specific features, like being able to take/make phone calls thru the tablet. Texting from tablet (which can be done via Google messages as well). Some of the goodlock features like forcing different aspect ratio and orientation on apps (so for example, being able to open Instagram in portrait mode but in landscape orientation). Being able to use classic 3 button navigation bars without the new app trays, change location of the clock, easier manipulation of multi windows, etc.
@@p.c.h.6721 Samsung has spent a lot of time and money putting a certain level of polish on their UI. Samsung also has an entire ecosystem that almost rivals that of Apple.
Wow!! This is such a beautiful bundle with so many pluses for an android tablet from Lenovo. I'm liking everything about the Lenovo Tab Extreme from the gorgeous 3K OLED display to the excellent quality of the front facing camera, the clear quality of the internal mic array, the excellent quality of the rear camera, the fast 68W charger, the keyboard, the touch pen and 8 speaker system from JBL! Unheard of Andrew!! The battery life is another plus!!! I really cannot find any negatives for this product and I think you have a real WINNER here Andrew!!! I am really blowing away with this! Unfortunately, it's no longer available in new condition at Best Buy as I just checked so your best bet is to get it directly from Lenovo where you can get an additional $100 off plus $10 if you also sign up for phone text. This only applies if this is your first order from Lenovo however. Thank you Andrew for this Fabulous review!!! 👏👍😁
Biggest negative is that lenovo is owned by the chinese, which is a downside. I'd buy this as a media consumption device, but I'd never put any banking apps or even things like amazon accounts and such.
Also update promises are lie. Their last year flagship tablet has not got single android os update and the timeline has been delayed 3 times already(9 months). Even after that it does not look like they have any plans to deliver update.
@@Tellurdogisayhello I have a foldable phone from China, it’s a Vivo, I’ve been using it for everything for a couple of years, including banking apps, not a problem whatsoever. I know other people with Chinese phones and they’ve never had a problem, not for a second I believe the Chinese government or some Chinese hacker is going to steal my money, imagine how disastrous it would be for ALL Chinese manufacturers, no one would buy their products.
External display port is an interesting feature.. do I need to install any software and configure anything to window/mac/chromeOS laptop to make it work? This would be a tablet that I am interested, Would be a great travel/ coffee shop remote work companion. Thanks for highlighting the feature Andrew!
Hi thanks for the very detailed review. I want to know, if I connect this tablet to my computer using the display port IN, will I have access to the touchscreen and/or keyboard? This is quite important to me. Thanks!
Hi mate Liked your videos Was wondering if you got speaker comparison of latest iPad Pro 12.9 vs Lenovo tab extreme since I’ve have known it have 8 speakers system setup. How does it hold up against each other. Would really appreciate if you got this. Keep it up.
good review straight to the point. The main drawback of a typical tablet most likely this one as well is LACK of future support of its firmware, e.g. Android 13 to 14 and no further? Chromebook is better value as its OS has better future upgrade path.
Andrew, can you check on availability? I've been looking for months, on BB and Lenovo sites, it is constantly listed aa unavailable. I've called Lenovo and they cannot provide any info on the device's availability, same with BB. If you could find out anything, it'd be appreciated.
I was in the same boat a little while ago. Been looking at this tablet for over a month. Called and was put on a waitlist. It was in stock on 7/17/23, was not notified, and was out of stock in two days. I would check the site daily to be safe.
As a Galaxy Tab S user, the only stuff I envy this Lenovo Tablet, the 2 USB-C ports, and especially the keyboard (the design, not necessarily the trackpad that looks average). On the other hand, $1200 for a Dimensity 9000, 2 years of Android update and a very very average software, nope ❌. 🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️🚶🏽♂️
Great video, great home with great taste, great tablet! Now, to be or not to be, to buy or not buy, which one is better? the Lenovo Tablet or the Samsung Tab S9 Ultra 🤔
The keyboard accessory for the Tab Extreme is much better than the Samsung offering. It is more sturdy and premium in my opinion. I ordered a Tab S9 Ultra with Keyboard for comparison. Stay tuned that will come as soon as I receive the unit.
1.5kg (weight minus power supply) is a hefty tablet! My 14.5" Zenbook Pro Duo with dual screens, Intel i9, and dedicated 4060 GPU is 1.7kg, almost negligible amount heavier relative to how much of a powerhouse it is over the tablet. I thought one of the main saving graces of a tablet was weight and portability? 1.5kg tablet, might as well just get a laptop at that point
Hey Andrew, Have you ever heard of the ROBO&KALA TABLET, it's SUPPOSEDLY got the SD 8 Gen 3 SOC, but I don't know how because, has SD even released the SD 8 Gen 3 Yet? I thought it was going to come out in October 2023? Curious to know if it's really what they say it is!
8cx Gen 3 chip, not the same as the 8 Gen 3. the cx range is Qualcomm's laptop CPU range, which they would like to get to a level to compete with Apple's M chips, eventually... The 8cx Gen 3 is still made on 5nm.
Hello andrew I wanna buy an oled laptop and i can not buy a new one for at least 3 years. i am really afraid of the oled screens problems. can you please tell me that will it work for 3 or 4 years without problem?
I have a Surface Go3 table which is more of a small PC that can be a tablet. The biggest pro of Android tablets or iPad's is battery life. It can be 2x or 3x my Surface.
This tablet is an overkill for my needs, but I really like it a lot. It's something to think about. I would like a small screen size like an 11 inch screen. The 8 speakers by JBL is a monster. Great review👍
@@brandonmcalister416 No it's to slow with only 4gb of ram. For the time being I settled for the Google Pixel Tablet. It has 8gb ram. I'll wait for another Lenovo in-between the extreme and the pro Lenovo or wait for the Extreme to come down in price. 👍🙂
ive had two of these and both were returned, there is a big issue playing music apps on this, deezer and Apple Music. the volume plays on maximum and can not be adjusted, a total let down
I just received my Tab Extreme. It's a great tablet overall but to my disaapointment it only supports a maximum 4K@30Hz DP video output to my Samsung 4K TV (which supports 4K 120Hz). Even my OnePlus 8 Pro phone can do 4K@60Hz DP video output to my TV. Can your Tab Extreme output 4K@60Hz video to a 4K TV or monitor?
Very very interesting tablet from Lenovo. I am blown away by the display, the keyboard, and the camera! Personally the line between these tablets and ultrabooks/convertibles like the YOGA books becomes even more blurred. To me, as much as this is a very appealing and powerful product, there is an OS factor that I believe many people would prefer the windows 11 counterparts than this Android 13 tablet. What do you think?
It should work I think, but any chance you can confirm if you connect a Switch over USB-C or Steam Deck it would be picked up as an external display? It works that way with actual portable external displays with USB-C input, so I would think this would be the same (with the added bonus of also being a full standalone tablet), but confirmation would be nice! Also wish it were in stock, haven't seen it yet for purchase.
Well we will have to compare it with godzilla in order to come to a conclusion. One of the core issue with windows is that they are made for coding .The media centric approach is way beyond than their immigination. Moreover app are not well optimized .though you try to use browser some how it lack in terms of handling the content . Battery backup is another concern .12 to 24 hoursback up is expected specially when you are traveling. The another issue with the glossy display is that when you are outside reflection make the user experience worst. Keyboard for example backligh and full size add value . In short we looking for a complete package that will justify the user experience.
Hello, I would like to know if we can watch RU-vid videos or watch films and series on Netflix, premium video and others and 4k resolution, thank you in advance for your response
Nice Android base tablet plus a little more. Display is very good. Cameras on this are good and sound is good. I think for travel purposes people who have to carry this type of device will probably choose a windows or Mac type device over this. If they want to use Android on the go they will probably use their phones when they need to. Still I think Lenovo makes an excellent device here and it will appeal to many people. Great review.
This tablet is the best in the market as it can be used as a pen input monitor for laptop. However lenovo will only give u only 2 android upgrade. It doesnt have enough ram to run llm locally
The keyboard cover fails for me considering it leaves all the glass exposed and the pen. But the overall Lenovo tablet is nice but I still prefer my tab s8 ultra.
@@andrewmarcdavid Was finally able to snag it. Had to wait a month for it to ship, but it was worth the wait. If only Samsung could create something like this. I would also love to see Lenovo make a 11 or 12 inch version of this keyboard.
Had they actually made the system in Windows. or Hell, make it a gaming tablet but with a low profile design. I think it would actually sell quite well.
Think twice before you buy a Lenovo tablet. I have the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro. It came with Android 10 when I bought it in early 2022. To this date I have got one update. So it seems I will be stuck with Android 11. I love this tablet, but I will never buy a Lenovo tablet again if Lenovo doesn't give at least 4 years of OS upgrades
