I'm speechless... Removing the CPU heatsink and putting it just back - without cleaning CPU, adding new cooling paste is something you should never ever do.
The cover wont slide all the way back in. Any ideas? It's stuck at the very end and no matter how much I fiddle back n forth, it still wont slide all the way in. It was perfectly fine before i took it off.
bro lol same issue here. I have two of them, for hours i try and it doesn't go back on then it will randomly and I refuse to touch it.... sadly I need to too now :(
I had the same issue. If you put a 2.5 ssd in, try refitting the chassis, ensuring that none of the wires are blocking the case from fitting back in. Good luck!
I’ve had this happen several times. It’s usually the speaker wire misaligned and keeps the case lid from closing. On one occasion it was the WiFi wire from the removable caddy had come off the card and I pinched it trying to force it closed.
I think the one in the Video is a gen 1 Version, I am looking for a solution für the gen 2 Version with 2400ge... Problem for all iteration is, the bios is limited to special AMD/Ryzen Gens and it's nearly impossible to upgrade unless Lenovo provides a bios update that lets newer CPU gens get installed.
i have the same model - M715Q 2nd Gen - and it comes with a AMD Ryzen5 2400GE CPU when i buyed this from Lenovo in 2019. So it should be possible to replace the CPU. (atm i dont know the socket of a12)
I think you want the GE version as opposed to just the G? I couldn't find anything solid pointing to using just the G so I personally opted to buy a Ryzen 5 pro 2400ge they are 35 dollars on eBay in the USA. Though keep in mind your bios might need updated. It's usually not hard though and there is probably a guide for that out there.
