HI again, Doug Stuman with IT Creations! We got the Lenovo P520c years ago and did a video ( • Lenovo ThinkStation P5... ). One and a half to be exact. But we never did get a ThinkStation P520! I always knew we would get one, eventually. Turns out Lenovo offered, and I grabbed it! I thought it might be interesting to review because we got the P620 Threadripper Workstation the same week and both have a single processor. The P520 supports Intel’s Xeon W-Series processors and the P620 is outfitted with AMD’s newest Threadripper Pro WX series processor. The P520, just like the P620 is for special effects, graphic design, 3D modeling, machine learning, and animation.
Compared to our previous video of the P520c which was posted in May of 2019 and you can see that here (Pointing), this P520 was an elusive beast as David Attenborough might say. It’s really not but I am kinda surprised we… Watch the video!!

Recently picked up used 900W P520 (W-2125), 64GB Corsair Vengeance (8x8)... (not Yet: VROC key about $150... Also Thunderbolt GPIO port (add about 500 bones for OEM... may look at ASUS PCIe version) 1 x 2TB 980PRO, and 1TB 970EVOPlus M.2 NVMe SSDs waiting for install (Although, MoBo "only" PCIe 3.0... vs. 4) Would really like to see more about Thunderbolt (3) setup... running out of PCIe slots... Thunderbolt replaces graphics card? (ThinkVision P24q-10 has mini Display Port)

Very hard to say because it depends on the configuration of the unit. That said here are a few resources you can use to calculate the load; the power configurator for the P520, and a too from the APC site that will help you size the appropriate UPS for whatever wattage you are consuming. My apologies Charbel, I missed your comment! The P520 is a single processor model that does support the Intel Xeon Scalable processors but the HP Z8 is a dual Intel Xeon Scalable processor platform that supports up to 3TB of memory and is a beast! Is there any issues or errors like I/O or any other? Yesterday, I bought p520, w2135 32GB quadro p1000 for my nephew. Somebody told me that you have made a mistake and you'll face few irritating and un solved errors with this machine. Plzzz, guide me how to properly install it's drivers. Your kind info will be so helpful for me. Thanks.
