You are amazing. Thank you so much. There's no way I could have done this on my own, but following your instructions I was able to replace my keyboard on my Yoga 730-13IKB, after ordering the replacement. Previously my q, w, e, r keys weren't working, and reseating the connector hadn't worked.
For those of you replacing the keyboard, the black tape is not needed. I assembled it back without it. Maybe it is just extra protection against a spill or something. Also, there is no need to do tricks with hinges, just don't do anything with it. Also, as you noticed, for just a keyboard replacement, you do not need to detach the wireless module cables, just swing them up. P.S. I am an amateur and did such a repair besides a fan replacement for the first time in my life. You would really feel proud of yourself after you did it on your own even if you earn a lot.
thanks so much for posting this! helped me replace a broken keyboard 👍 Great commentary/explanations. I bought a unit off ebay that had the keyboard + type cover - was like $20 more than the standalone keyboard, but saved having to peel off all the black plastic; basically just remove the trackpad/fingerprint reader, and pull it off the hinges.
Thanks! If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos and possibly consider watching a few others to get the algorithm to recommend my channel.
What's wrong with the fan? I can make a video, but you'll have to mail me your laptop. Not going to buy one just to make a video that makes me 5 cents. Lol
@@ItsBinhRepaired one of the fan bearings is out fan/heat sync assembly. I have a replacement assembly but dunno the whole process. Its all good. I can get it done for less than 100
Hello, I have an issue with my laptop. I assume it's a battery issue. The light that used to be red when charging is now white. It doesn't turn on at all. I tried holding the alt +ctrl + power button as a reset and I can hear the fan turn on but nothing happens. Is it my battery? I would like to replace it if so and need to get an idea. Someone said over the phone it may be the video graphics card but I don't know
Seriously ? The video is to show a keyboard removal and he doesn't even show that at the end. It's obvious it's his first time. Sorry but this is a very bad attempt. Even camera misaligned for some of it.
