I dont think its the mic but the mix and the sound engeneering that was not properly set up for the live recording.

Maybe, but as a sax player I have never had a single good experience with a 57.

Even at the beginning when there's basically no drums the tenor sounds awful though. Of course the mix was bad, I'm just saying the 57s also make the horns sound terrible. Which I can clearly hear even in an unbalanced mix.

The way he attacks the horn is just so sick. Horn has to just submit to his will and give up whatever sound he wants to come out of it. Very inspiring as a player.

Fun to see the two styles side by side. Eli is more traditional in the way he solos but very skilled where as Leo has a more riff based and rhythmic way of soling
