El Condor Pasa is an old traditional song from Peru, usually played on a pan flute or peruvian flutes. This is a more modern arrangement. Aztecs where in north america (mexico) Mayas were in north and central America and in South America were the Inca. but there are more than 826 different indigenous peoples in Latin America and the Caribbean. Aztec, Maya and Inca were just the big Empires. I'm descendant from the Pipil in Central america.

His name is Leo and originally from Ecuador. Indigenous people have been playing their instruments for decades traveling to Europe to show our culture. He got famous on a show in Germany called got talent something like that.

Simon & Garfunkel recorded this tune over 50 years ago and gave it lyrics ( "If I Could", a #1 hit in several countries). They played the song mistakenly thinking it was a traditional Andean folk song in the public domain. But this arrangement is by Peruvian composer Daniel Robles based on indigenous music, whom S & G later apologized and gave credit to.

Thanks for the fabulous information. Leo impressed me so much. I had never seen a Pan flute before. I also really loved Simon and Garfunkel and have reacted to about 8 different people doing their Sound of Silence including Wuauquikuna with their pan Flute . In SA we know this through George Zamfir. It played on the classics all the time. Panflutes are beautiful instruments. Think I used to have a pan flute cd once upon a time.

You have previously mentioned you like rock so I wanted to recommend some rock in spanish, from Rata Blanca- El hada y el Mago and Mujer Amante; From Mago de Oz- Molinos de Viento, Fiesta Pagana, and Hasta que el cuerpo aguante; from Heroes del silencio- Maldito Duende, La chispa adecuada, and entre dos tierras.

Los incas son antepasados de casi toda Sur América, Perú no existía, regrese a la escuela, Todo esta región lo que hoy es Perú, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, y hasta parte de Argentina era el imperio Tahuasintuyo, cuando se formaron las repúblicas, entonces Cuzco la capital del Tahuasintuyo quedo en lo que hoy es Perú, los instrumentos andinos están en todas estas regiones, por donde pasa la cordillera de los Andes de ahí su nombre,,,, regrese al colegio
