Leominster: Car Wash @ Mr. Mike's Mobil, Main Street: Winter Run

We get another car wash at Mr. Mike's, Main Street, Leominster, Massachusetts.
This is a Laserwash system.
The wash does operate differently during the Winter season. Usually, both doors shut while the wash is in progress, but in this case, only the rear door closed.
The drier needs work done to it. It usually dries very well, but this time, it barely did much of anything. The wash itself is still top-notch.

@forsmers1 That's the claim. After enough pass-throughs, they can scratch paint, as one soft-cloth wash I used to go to would do to every car I, or people I know, used. It's also on the maintenance, too. They leave the soap in the cloth, the cloth isn't so soft anymore.

Touch-Free is better for your paint job, as it'll keep it looking like new, but for the tough stuff, the cloth ones are better, if you don't mind the risk of swirl marks over time. Some won't do that, others will.

@TheElevatorChannel I've seen that one. Those driers probably work. These need help. They used to leave the car bone dry. Now they just push the water around.

@TheCarwash97 There are some very high touch-free pressure washes around here. House of Wax (Orange, MA) is definately one.

@TheCarwash97 The only thing I can think of about unsafe touch-free washes are extreme water pressure, or possibly an abrasive soap/polish. Neither, I've encountered.......yet.

The 4000 had color polish originally. You could buy from PDQ the color upgrade.

@hyuga360death The bearings on the guide wheels are wearing out some. That will need attention.

Not sure. I use the touch free systems so the paint will stay newer (a lot) longer.

@forsmers1 Can't say I've noticed a real difference on some of the touch-free models. Some others? Yeah, there's a difference.

You'll know when I get it. That may be awhile. Normally, I only run the wipers on the power washes to clean them, but to keep the operation visible on camera, I ran the wipers, which normally, I don't so. Never quite got the "Car is soaking" light. Don't see it often.

Funny thing was, when it initially was closed, the money machine still was running. Unsure now, since it's completely off, at least the wash is. (Again, in due time, I'll check it fully, and hopefully get some update on it.)

I see it's open again. Apperently, it's got hours, now: used to be 24/7. PS: My shaky right hand is my writing hand. I use the left for shooting videos.

Ryko is different. In my other Channel, I had 2 Ryko videos. If you look at the brushes, they are spaced out, so if rocks come in, they will just fall out.

I did recently, and the people there at the time didn't know anything about it. I will ask again. Once I know what's going on, or if nobody has a clue, I'll do an update video at the site of this dead wash.

Paint problems are rare. The thing is the amount if water preasure used in touch less canceles ( im a bad speller) Soft Gloss i believe works better. You need to find a Ryko. There a farily high qaylutily brand. Exepct for touch less. See theelevatorchanel for an example.

There's no need for a purge between the first and second presoak. I wonder why it did that...

It's a T-Bar. It doesn't do anything. Guess it was required the way the 4000 was made.

Do you know of any soft gloss systems? Im from Des Moines which is Ryko CENTRAL. And Ryko is better with soft gloss. Therefor Touch less is equal to if not less than soft gloss in Des Moines.
