BanchoLeomon doesn't just have a Burst Mode, he's the first digimon ever to obtain it. ShineGreymon was inspired by him and thus gained his own Burst Mode.

My god they really committed to keeping this tradition going, they had to make endless variations of the guy so that merking him every single series wouldn't get stale!

It is so weird that an species known for constantly dying can "evolve", yet retain whatever genes cause them to die so frequently

Leomon is the Piccolo of the series. He looks cool but most likely will die trying to defend someone.

The amount of Rookie level digimon that can become a leomon or it's variants is insane. That's what I love about Digimon though, the branching and intersecting evolution trees!

You missed a lesser known, but still interesting line of the Leomon family. There is Leormon, the rookie leve.l Liamon, the champion level. And LoaderLeomon as the ultimate level. Supposedly this is the main digivolution line for BanchoLeomon. Though they never really got any anime time that I know of. Just obscure game data and cards.

Leomon is definitely the coolest looking digimon,.it just sad that it's evolution like cannot catch up to it's already cool looking design..

Talking about bancholeomon and chaosmon, you could talk about the Digimon from accel and their lines Kudamon og/2006 - Reppamon - Tyllinmon - Sleipmon (+Mitamamon from re arise) Liollmon - Liamon - Loaderleomon - Bancholeomon Falcomon og - Diatrymon - Yagataramon OG - Valdurmon Commandramon - Sealsdramon - Tankdramon - Darkdramon Considering that Chaosmon and Ultimatechaosmon are also from accel, it is not weird that they are made from these digimon There is also Kokabuterimon - Bladekuwagamon - Mettalifekuwagamon - Tyrantkabuterimon Dracumon - Sangloupmon - Matadrmon - Grandracumon

Most digimon series are following some rules: 1. dark evolution exists 2. +1 kid joins the group 3. leomon dies 4. the leader wears googles

Leomon have been like side character that the animator and story writer (probably) hate so much, Leomon since Digimon Adventure been suffer in story, have bad end and barely do anything despite it's status as Warrior of Justice, heck even in Digimon Tamers Leomon straight death at front of it's Partner and that more fucked up than Leomon death in Digimon Adventure, make Leomon like Sean Bean Digimon counterpart.
