Am I the only one that was waiting for the live version of this song? I mean, like searching every day since the single came out. Leon, the present past that will be the future.
I came here for the live version. This song has such a great groove going on the recorded version l wanted to see how he pulled it off live. He seemed to cut it short live.
Just got turned on to this young man a few weeks ago. I cannot get past this song!! I absolutely love it and everything about it! Would love to see him live.
i just started listening to him a few weeks ago and i can’t stop listening to “good thing” it’s been on repeat for three days straight now. i’m literally going through an obsession with each song in order. first i couldn’t stop listening and watching live performances of bet ain’t worth the hand now this!
Better late than never. Check out his 2015 debut album Coming Home before the new one come out next month. Leon is still a new artist so you came to the party pretty early. :)
LYRICS Ain't got no riches, ain't got no money that runs long But I got a heart that's strong and a love that's tall Ain't got no name, ain't got no fancy education But I can see right through, a powdered face on a painted fool Let me slip through (let me slip through) Why you tryna hold me back? (I ain't) I'm just tryna move up front Lil more of this, lil less of that (can you feel me?) Let me come through (let me come through) I'm tired being in the back (a'ight) I'm just tryna move up front A lil more of this, a lil less of that, yeah They tell me I was born to lose But I made a good good thing out of bad bad news I don't worry, don't worry, don't worry about people in my face I hit 'em with the style and grace, and watch their ankles break I know you wish, I know you wish I would fade away But I got more to say, Lord, they pray Let me slip through (let me slip through) Why you tryna hold me back? (I ain't) I'm just tryna move up front Lil more of this, lil less of that (can you feel me?) Let me come through (let me come through) I'm tired being in the back (a'ight) I'm just trynna move up front A lil more of this, a lil less of that, yeah They tell me I was born to lose But I made a good good thing out of bad bad news Alright alright, all day all night Alright alright, all day all night Alright alright, all day all night Alright alright, all day all night They tell me I was born to lose But I made a good good thing out of bad bad news Songwriters: Austin Jenkins / Eric Frederic / Joshua Block / Nate Mercereau / Todd Michael Bridges / Wayne Hector
I am disgusted by all the songs and have no respect for most singers these days, but this is one song that I actually appreciate and is actually quality. These are real musicians for once
no doubt,,,,,,but, need to always take into consideration that these things are not always edited to playback correctly in a chronological order....so....maybe ?? hell, that could have been from a different song altogether....I dunno....I HOPE
Dig dig dig this rendition of this tune and it's so funny watching white people trying to find a way to dance to it. it's oblique it's obtuse it's jazz you got to feel it that way
