Wow - his "Smooth Sailin" snapped my head around when I heard him on SNL....he is such a fine, refined soulmaster - putting together the best of the best. I had lost hope for some of that smooth soul and blues ever coming back.....my mom used to absolutely adore Fats Domino...and Leon brings me back to my youth in the 60s, the best of Sam Cooke, Fats, etc... He is the smoothest of the smooth cats...so happy, so GLAD to have him with us - with his distinctive, genuine, cool tunes......he is the real thing. THANKS so MUCH, Leon!!!
Holy fuck! I know I'm late to the game here but I just watched the SNL I had DVR'd . What a great discovery, very pure and retro yet very current at the same time.
