Reason for the question mark after “No Damage” is cuz apparently I found out after recording this that you CAN take gradual damage during the QTE but if your health is full, you have a bigger window to finish the QTE without taking any damage? That’s what I understood from someone else’s no damage video. And I didn’t check after the fight to see if I beat it without damage lol Oh well. Goal was to make this fight a little more cinematic. Love this boss encounter. Edit: Also I know Marvin was talking about zombies but I felt the “Uniform or not, you do not hesitate” applied here.
Great video! I wanted to ask for your opinion. Recently, I started a series where I'm playing Resident Evil 4 original version on mobile with only pistols and killing all enemies. Do you think it's possible to beat the game with just pistols? Keep up the great content!
@@pixelplanett oh man. I haven’t played the original enough to know for sure but I’m sure you can. RE has always been flexible enough with options to pull things off like pistols only. I believe in you!
Not really, it was a fair fight. Luis just didnt want Leon to die, and plus its likely he woke up from passing out. He did passed out after being stabbed after all.
@@hudsonS238only onwards after 2 remake, but in the original it wasn’t only Marvin, it was the population in raccoon city is what Leon spent his entire life in shock about.
Fun Fact that I don’t see a lot of people mention: At 2:25, if it weren’t for Krauser’s knife being lifted up to his face, Luis would’ve landed a headshot on him. I love this detail so much, it goes to show how skilled Luis is at defending others (unfortunately) compared to himself.
Okay so I checked REALLY slowly. If you put it at normal speed, it dont look like it. It looks like Luis was aiming for the knife. If you move the video slowly, you can see a certain clash. Krauser accidentally blocked Luis’ bullet with a knife, protecting his head. Luis unintentionally shot his knife, which it was meant for his head. Luis has shown interesting marksmanship while Krauser shown to be clever with a knife. After all, Leon can parry if not all, most with a knife.
I’ve legit NEVER seen that scene play out that way. That looked like it fed STRAIGHT into the gameplay rather than a hard cut to them knife fighting out of place. That’s so cool, I didn’t know this fight can end that way.
@@emptymelodies3316 oh it’s an edit? I thought it was like, if you take long enough on the fight to exhaust all the dialogue rather than doing damage it triggers that scene.
@@urbiznesnunuv6938 oh yes! I edited in the RE2 scene. Would’ve been cool if it was legit but if you thought it was real, that means I accomplished my goal lol so thanks again
@@emptymelodies3316 oh that’s not what I meant, I more meant the moment the gameplay part of the fight ended, where it parries into Krauser attempting to stab leon, the lead in looked different
@@urbiznesnunuv6938ea there’s two different way the scene starts 1 Leon attacks and krasuer parries leading into the cutscene and 2 Leon parries and the cutscene starts
This was an awesome connection, especially with the uniform or not part, Leon has definitely been battle hardened since his rookie days. And Krauser underestimated that to the fullest
@@emptymelodies3316 no problem! You had great execution on the backflips, dodges and parries here 👌🏽 in terms of making it look cinematic this is one of the hardest fights in the game to do so, and you nailed it, keep it up!
It Proves the soul of one of the last valiant RPD officers on the night of September 28th, 1998 in Raccoon City is still lingering on in the afterlife to provide moral support in the minds of the final survivors: Leon, Claire, Sherry, and Hunk (though no interactions with the latter two).
In Leon's defense, Krauser was some distance from him while Ada literally had her gun touching Leon. And I don't think Leon expected Krauser to speedblitz like that lol.
@@gogetathestrongestfusion Everything Resident Evil is immensely popular. Even the terrible live-action made billions as a franchise. It doesn't mean they were quality films. The animated films aren't much better. Just silly action films. Nothing "Residential" or "Evil" about them. I love RE4, but I hate that it pretty much turned the franchise into strictly action. At least RE4 was creepy at moments, took place in residential areas (village and castle) and had evil at the core. There was also a little of item management, backtracking, puzzle solving. Not as much as the original trilogy had, but it was still there. It would be nice to see an RE film that captured the Survival Horror aspect of the early games, and didn't turn the mainline characters into superheroes.
@@emptymelodies3316 I say the same for Claire, the S.T.A.R.S survivors, Sherry and so many others to the point I want to scream "please, Capcom, just retire them and give these people happy endings!"
I still amazed that it's the same face model for leon I wish Marvin was alive he would've been so proud of Leon ...like he would've been his like mentor if Leon's 27 in RE4 I can give Marvin would've been in his early or mid 40s

Correct! RE4 takes place years after Leon’s events in RE2. Someone else thought this memory inclusion was legit so I wanna clarify the RE2 scene was an edit by me. Thanks for checking this out :)
Knives are extraordinary weapons: they don’t need ammo, they are silent, easy to carry and also can be used as a tool under many circumstances, I always carry a Browning DA312 with me
@@GetOffMyDick00 I rather be an "edgelord" but having the way to defend myself in a extreme situation than not being it and dying because I needed something to fight for my life and I didn't have.
I’m so glad this game came out, and I can’t wait to pick it up! It’ll be my first Resident game, however, I vividly remember when the other remakes came out back in 2019 and 2020. Thanks for the video! ~Marcus Delk
Whenever you feel ready, you can always check out the originals of resident evil 2 and 3 (very old school) and 4 (revolutionized the entire gameplay experience for the first time, also a little bit classic) too. You'll notice the enormous differences between originals and remakes, only limited by gaming hardware & software at the respective times. They were years apart due to evolving gaming technology.
My oh my, I still miss the good ol' days of the original Leon vs Krauser duel where it was the "bitch in the red dress" that had saved Leon from being killed by Krauser. I wonder where she was this time around in the remake?
I remember Project Javier being the mission in another RE game. I forgot the title but it was an on-rails shooter type. Hopefully they'd give it another more proper recognition here by being a DLC.
@@crapsoundtrue but it doesn't make sense anymore, in that game Krauser didn't even know Leon while in the remake he was Leon's mentor since he became an agent. Also i'm pretty sure remake Leon wasn't involved in operation Javier for whatever reason, so a dlc explaning the changes would be cool
@@nwp-hz5dm ahh you're right. I always thought they were together in that operation. I didn't realize that in the remake, Leon wasn't there with him. At least based on what they showed us it did seem like he wasn't involved.
@@emptymelodies3316no problem! love your videos!! 😄 subbed , and will be watching more soon. also, now you know what the RE in my name is haha (Resident evil ! hehe) one of my fave series!!
I really like your edit! Niiice! 👌 Wouldn't it be awesome if the flashback scenes were actually part of the game? Our boi Leon has come a long way and he ain't stoppin'. Marvin died in an unceremonious way.
Well, the remake gave Marvin the ugly death provided by a former STARS member, Brad Vickers. That is a special zombified attack, rather than some generic T-virus infected citizen that bit Marvin from RE2(1998). At least it's a little bit significant. I think I recall in the original RE3: Nemesis(1999), Brad had been killed by Nemesis effortlessly instead. Sad to go from Helicopter rescue pilot hero of the first entry to skewered shish kabob in the third entry.
I was curious if there were any special dialogue if you actually put up a good fight. Only special dialogue I found was, when he's stunned, and you start shooting him, he will say, "I didn't teach you that."
Wait so by remake timeline canon, Leon never did lose his RPD knife that Marvin gave to him six years prior to this game's timeframe. It means that anytime Leon was surprised by zombies or monsters in Raccoon City and had to take the chance at counter-attacking with a sub weapon, it was some other breakable RPD knife he had and/or two various grenades? Seems legit.
In-game you can go back for a previously used knife. And you can carry multiple sub-weapons. Leon could’ve had other sub-weapons ready to use and stopped using Marvin’s so it didn’t break. So yeah, pretty legit.
@@emptymelodies3316 Actually, there’s a 4th qte moment. If Krauser uses his charge attack and Leon is turned away, he’ll grab and try stabbing Leon in the chest similar to the second fight where he uses flashbangs.
So far I’ve only seen him do that kick during this fight with Krauser. No where else. I’m not sure exactly what triggers this exact kick. Maybe after a perfect parry?
It’s just a fan-edit. Wanted to put this together cuz Leon uses the same knife that Marvin gave him back in RE2. Kind of like a “What if Leon thought back to Marvin since he’s relying on his knife in this encounter? How would that look?” Also, I tried to have the “flashback” trigger when we got the close-up shot on Leon’s face like how movies do when characters are about to have a flashback.
@@LightTrack-Actually, there was a reference to him, Leon's knife is the exact same knife Marvin gave to him in the RPD, if you go to the inventory and check it you will see it.
@@GrimTzu Yeah but not in this video. The reference is an item description which isn't shown in the video itself lol This is just a fan edit inserting a headcanon.
I’m sure they’re are plenty that would agree with you! I think it’s just personal preference. Some people prefer QTE’s in action scenes. Some prefer total control of their character during action scenes.
@@mikelmar5723 in the og, the krauser fight wasn't even gameplay, in the remake you actually push more than 2 buttons and the krauser talk is really cool. I dont see the problem.
