They could make it an allstar game on their final moments against the corrupt BSAA on the end of Village.

Its past time Jill returns to the franchise... other than what boils down to a Cameo in 5 shes been AWOL for too long

I think deserves a cameo towards the end and Jill appears in the middle of the game

He should be in my opinion. Because I miss playing a new Resident Evil again with Leon S. Kennedy. My favorite character!

Capcom will have good sense to go back with the previous classic characters to finish this one for a new story. in my opinion.

Leon's last game appearance was 6 in 2012. He has 3 mainline games. Chris's last game appearance was 8 in 2021. He S.T.A.R.S. in 4 mainline games, has a dlc in 7, and has a significant section in 8. Chris has been featured in every mainline since 5 in 2009. That's 4 straight games. Listen I like Chris but the dude's featured too heavily in the series recently. Jill, Claire, and Leon are all beloved characters who deserve a comeback to the mainline entries rather than crappy spin offs or garbage cgi movies. I get that it seems like 8 should continue into 9 with a Chris centric story but think back to the rest of the series and how RE has typically progressed. Events of RE1 led to the events of RE2 but didn't feature the same cast or story. Jill and Chris re-emerged in separate entries due to said events with RE3 and CV. The series then picked back up with another through line to setup Wesker/5 at the end of a Leon centric RE4 which in itself was largely disconnected from events preceding it. The series has never been linear and, in my opinion, was more appealing/surprising because of it. I enjoy the remakes but I'd prefer a new story with the other guys in the big 3. Honestly, all three of them could easily find themselves wrapped up in a BSAA storyline following the events of 8. Claire is a journalist/aid worker, Leon works for the govt, and the best option imo would be Jill because of her ties with Chris.

All of them need to be in the game. Simple as that, idk if it’s the last game for the raccoon survivors but if it is then all the survivors need to be in the game, no matter the opinion on the character or their recent appearances.

Chris will never die just always remember that.

Bro they would be like 60 years old at this point or 70 I for one dont want to see a old leon or chris in the plot. TBH i think they should just pull a modern warfare or angel heart and reset the universe with the same characters but a new storyline, so everyone is kinda different maybe racoon city never happened and something else did instead

I think leon will be in re9 as a character he and Ethan are my favorite characters in resident evil because they both went through the same things.
