The Oscar buzz is happening again for Leonardo DiCaprio. The two-time Academy Award nominee plays a cop in Martin Scorsese's new movie, "The Departed." DiCaprio chats with Harry Smith about the role. FRom CBS News.
Yea DiCaprio is the best actor of his generation, he has the best range. I'm talking his age group. Over, Depp,Pitt,Cage,Norton,Damon,Wahlberg,Penn,Cruise,Sheen,Affleck, etc. He was brilliant in Blood diamonds, Departed,Django,BB diaries,Aviator,Wolf W/st, and no Oscar he's just so good.
DiCrapio is overrated af. He looks like he's trying so hard in every performance, it doesnt come across as natural at all. Edward Norton is leagues above him for example.
oh my god, seriously is it even possible to look like this and be so smart, humble, and amazing as an actor? This is by far the best interview i've ever seen of him, and again the way he looks is just incredible
I think Leo will go down as one of the greatest film actors of all time by the time he reaches his golden years. Really gifted guy, and nice too see he is not full of himself as he so easily could be.
That movie was Great. I loved it- Never did see "Infernal Affairs" but Leo really has come a long way and he truely is an Amazing actor. He really puts his all into the performance. -you can't deny that.
Those who are jealous of his good look, his brain , his success and his heart just know how to gossip and can be called losers, big losers. Learning and getting our ass out there and do something is what is expecteted from each of us Leonardo DiCaprio does help mankind BRAVO!!!
departed!!!! i was blown away by this movie, I was blown away by inception.. he is an EXCELLENT ACTOR and sooooooooo sssssssseeeeeeeeeeeexxxxxxxxxxxyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
@jaidemm I totally agree. I used to biased against Dicaprio because of my hatred for "Titanic" back in the day, but time and time again, Dicaprio impresses me beyond all doubt with his performances. "Blood Diamonds" and Inception" are both just genius work on Dicaprio's part.
I've seen the departed back in my senior year in private school saw it on opening day and my dad at first didn't want me to see it ,because of fowl language and heavy violence ,but that didn't bother me I saw it and enjoyed ,and now I owned it on DVD 📀.
Y'know, I love all the comments on this video. You guys are all so positive when it comes to his looks. Like, some of his videos have comments from people saying that he's aged horribly! In my opinion, he has changed. When he was younger, he was very cute, and a few looks he gave in his movies were officially "smouldering". But, now, when he's in his early thirties, which is unbelievable, I think that his sex appeal has just ramped soo far! It's off the charts now! The sex appeal is amazing!
I have seen "Infernal Affairs" which I enjoyed and which "The Departed" is a remake of. From all the clips I've seen and what I've read, I am afraid it may have lost something in the translation, but I'm sure I'll check it out on DVD eventually. Seriously, check out the original.
I feel like Leo's gonna win his first Oscar posthumously. Like, he'll do this movie which will be his last movie before he dies and that'll be the one that he wins an Oscar for
This guy has worked with basically every major director alive (including my faves Danny Boyle and Spielberg). That's some kind of fucking acting genius. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before he gets a call from Tim Burton...
i agree with you. he was PHENOMINAL in WEGG! and in The Departed again he brings something real. All his other films were just big paycheck gigs that had no life.
@Ivanooze20 I agree, and who said he had the same accent in blood diamond and the departed? the departed is a boston accent and blood diamond is a south african accent. If for nothing else Leo should be praised for his dead on accent in blood diamond
I totally agree with you stevehariismetalgoold Some of my fox in the movie industry do say that- in general, if anyone is recognized by icons, it's his or her luck. You can be so talented but connections are nevertheless helpful. Cheers!
hard to compare departed and infernal affairs because they are very different one from another despite the fact the first one is an american remake from the second one.
