The Leopard 1A1 has arrived in the Cold War game mode in World of Tanks Console. The Leopard 1A1 is a fast, agile and hard hitting tank with excellent silver earning potential. This tank is one I would recommend to any seasoned WoT Console player but the lack of armour does mean I hesitate to recommend it to new players. None the less, it is a very good tank and one that I welcome to Era 2.

The Leopard 1A1 is a very good tank and I hope that this is a small glimpse of what is to come with the full German line.

Agree as well, it seems to perform very well despite having lack lustre armour. Looking forward to driving it at the end of the current season. Hopefully if the Leopard 2 lands in Era 3 when the German CW line arrives, it performs similarly, if not better.

Riki do you know what's going on with wotstars . Many of my battles arnt recording and some battle that are recording are Not registering my scores. I know that new or altered tanks take time to show up but this is happening on tanks already in the game which is a pain in the backside as I use it to keep track of my damage average.

Really looking forward to the content this season. Germans in CW & Czech Heavies. Super excited to grind some more, the Chinese didn’t do it for me. I hope MOE changes are coming - just completed some surveys about them.

It is a second line tank, support almost have to play as a TD. Not an easy one to play. Everyshot will pen and if caught by a bmp2 forget it the chain gun will take you down really quick. T72AV is now king due to the reactive armour. Having good games though. Another honest review.👍

Since the 30mm BT round is contemporary with LEO-1A1 [LATE 70S ] its penetration is dubious at best. It can penetrate the Marder front at only 300m . At the same range this shell can . Not even enough for LEO 1A1 turret; ALSO penetrate 45mm /30o or 40mm @ 40o but the it can just manage the side pannier at 35mm @ 40o at 300m range.

This thing is a beast. The dpm is insane and it's very quick. You can peak aboom very well. Long range you can dodge shells as the come towards you. It's like obj 934 without the painful gun depression and without the camo rating. With doesn't really matter much on cold war anyway. Also traverse speed is lovely. You need full equipment plus crew skills tho

Mine has 4,800 dpm. And the pen is great only one real complaint I thing the gun sight is slightly to the left of the barrel which means it missed alot of shots

Dude! I've been waiting for the German tech tree forever since modern tanks became a thing for WoT console. I wonder which variant of the leopard 2 we will have the end of the tech tree. Here's to hoping we get up to the Leopard 2a5 at the very least. Kinda hopeful for the A6 but I think that's a little too advanced even for Era 3

So, I picked this tank up yesterday after finishing the season. It is a Beast. It plays almost exactly the same as the tierX Leo 1 even down to having the ammo rack in the front left. It is a terrific sniper and can give the FV4211 anxiety attacks when in a death spiral since th FV can't rotate fast enough to keep up with the tiny turning radius of the Leo. The downside is it is in tier 2 and an Armadillo or BMP 2 is gonna ruin your whole day since only the front of the turret has a chance of bouncing anything. Tl/dr Great tank but it has its weaknesses

I gotta I agree with Rikitikive on Leopard 1A1...it isn't new people but fantastic however does struggle to penetrate FV4211 as in clip also T-72AVs in hulldown

Maybe you could do a video on how to pen the FV4211? Try different ammo. I reckon you'll find that the Leopard 1A1 can go through the frontal upper hull of the FV4211 on an even terrain, especially once you hit that premium ammo. I haven't been able to pen the FVs with HEAT at all, but 400mm pen of APFSDS goes through that plate easily once you are above the FV or it is slightly angled to you. Gotta teach the masses.

Love this tank - it can be an absolute monster. I run it with a TD crew - lots of camo perks etc. and just farm damage without getting spotted. Nice and quick to get to those fruitful positions on the map and just as happy chasing down victims..

It is as I expected it to be, Looking at this review, very well informed and detailed, you also get to the point with showing us exactly how the tank is... I have a feeling the CW line may come as a suprise line in this update if not... Next update for sure...

I’m mostly just looking forward to getting something that can reliably pen the 4211. My only era 2 is the ural because I missed out on the season with the 4211 and with there being at least 4 in every single era 2 game, I might actually start having fun

Looks good, spent 2000 gold for a season pass and can't wait until I get my hands on this tank and kill those annoying FVs 😠. The fact that it has weak armour, and given a lot of CW players are still new to the game, I think will put most off this tank. Brilliant Nohomahn is back and Dragon Ridge. What is really weird is why WG have given the E100 and Maus a pea shooter second gun (multiple weapon system)

@@Rikitikitave typically I play tank destroyers so I enjoy high penetration but I do also play super heavies alot. So I'd guess a heavy would be preferable.

In that case, play the US line but take the heavies instead of the mediums (T34, M103A1, M103A2). The M1A2 is a very good tank to end the line on.

@@Cyathewolf Era 1 WZ-111 has a 60% silver boost. Era 2 Leopard 1A1 and FV4211 have a 65% silver boost. All 3 were/are season reward tanks.

I think the mobility is lacking because it cant outrun even most heavies easily, not that its bad just combine that with the unforgiving armor AND your lack of hitpoints, is a rough combo

I think the fv4s will still be played by most. It Is an easy tank to play. Like you said experienced people will be good in this. Fv4s are so annoying. Starting a match seeing 7 on an enemy team just pisses me off

Don't think the leopard 1a1 has armour I think Germany focused on mobility and firepower at the time ,until they combined both mobility and armour into a MBT leopard that came after this one.

I’m running all equipment that boosts gun performance. Advanced loader, gun laying drive and gun stabiliser.

I've came across several of these my bmp shreds through them. Regular MG rounds don't even need premium stay hidden in this tank

No you can own and play the 1A1 even if you don’t own the 1.

This tank missed the strangest shots. I'm pretty sure the gun sight is slightly off the shell seems to come from the right all the time.
