Whilst on holiday there visiting wife’s family we took them to Vumba/ Nyanga/ Mutare etc. We looked to stay here but was sadly booked up with government officials. Ended up staying at Forest Hill Resort which also had stunning views.
“There is no where more beautiful in Africa” as she stood on the hotel terrace overlooking the Burma Valley into Mozambique. Queen Mother 1953 . They were Italian POWS “prisoners of war” Italy were allies along with Nazi Germany during the war .
Because the Italian Gorvement stood with the Nazis does that mean their people deserve to be slaves in a foreign country? Did the waiters who were made to face a brick and cement wall while others enjoyed their feast also deserve such work conditions? I love Blessed because she gives the opportunity for each viewer to express their own experiences without overwhelming them with her own. Keep it up sister 👏🏼
@@maimunya5107 What would you rather do be stuck in a German Nazi camp and starved or gassed to death or build a castle in Africa…. - after the war most of those Italian POW’s 2500 of them decided to stay in Rhodesia because they loved the country and it’s people , the Rhodesian government arranged for their families in Italy to join them in Rhodesia….SLAVE is a strong word and shouldn’t be used lightly.
@@maimunya5107 The word SLAVE should not be used in this context “they we’re not bought” they were carrying out manual work as punishment for fighting the enemy…..check your dictionary and definitions of SLAVE and POW’s
Wow thank you madam for showing us this history. Im lost of words to discribe how cruel the british were ,they built place were a waiter have to face the wall when the masters are eating. i cant believe that a whole human beign took time to designed a wall corner for a weiter to face and a throne toilet nxaaaa.
Thank you for the tour Collett and Derrick...even though we haven't been it feels like we were there. Would love to try their steak and ribs, the menu has good options.
Wow! I would love to visit this place it is indeed beautiful. I would also like to see Victoria Falls and other places. Thanks Blessed to be a Blessing.
Omw went there when I was four been trying to find it ever since, does it still have the big fireplace?? Gorgeous place!!! Still looking for Louis trichard la la panze??? Think it's a conference centre now??l I m now 68 by the way!!!!!!
The preoccupation with the history of a dead colonial monarch is shameful. Almost everything, "Queen Elizabeth this, Queen Elizabeth that......" Africa is far from being free.
Because they built these things. We have to start building our own and name them what we like. Can't change a name of a sch that was built under colonial era from Queen Elizabeth High Sch to Nehanda Nyakasikana. Why not just build our own Nehanda or Queen Lozikeyi girls high sch???
That’s why it’s very important for us as Africans to know our history. That’s the apartheid and colonial history there for us. However it’s a stunning place.
Yes completely agree but Africans have to unite as a continent, I understand it is still very much divided tribal wise which honestly I find hard to believe!!!!!
Cool nice place, but at 09:30 that female statue in a long white dress standing on top of the fountain looks like she is pissing the water down from under her dress 🤭. We all do that, especially in rainstorms on the streets, cold showers at home, swimming pools. Hoping that nobody will notice. 😂. All of us, men women, boys and girls.
