I got a Les Baer Custom Carry a week ago and have put 700 rds through it! Had 1 ftf today due to a bad round. Broke it down for the first time and gave it a good cleaning. She eats up the 10 ring at 10 yards! Won’t own anything else but Baer!
Don’t worry about what people think. Great video showing this piece this is exactly what I needed to see. Nice and clear with many different angles you just sold one for less baer. Good job. Thanks again
I wish they would let me "Like" this video more than once. I've watched it so many times, waiting for the day I get my Thunder Ranch Special. I really appreciate you sharing your awesome collection with us.
@5:33 The "combat extended safety" refers to the part that extends forward over the plunger tube, not (only) the width out away from the frame. The original or basic thumb safety doesn't cover the plunger tube, although most non-GI/mil-spec style 1911s now come with an extended T.S.
I never knew Liberals have a certain tone. Sorry I don't have a southern accent.... I don't have a Pug. I have a French Bulldog. Please explain how these statements "solidified that notion." I'm a constitutional conservative. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all!
I was very excited when I picked up my Springfield 1911 Loaded. Loved how it shot compared to my Sig. However, that all changed when I shot/handled my buddy's Les Baer.. Even though they were both '1911s', I could still notice the difference in how they both fired. I started to see/feel what really makes it a quality piece.. Slide to frame fit being one of them. Also, a lot of the MIM parts on my 1911 still had rough edges from the mold, and I had to smooth down and polish it away to make it function smoothly.. Also noticed the extractor isnt blended to the frame, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. The beavertail isnt blended to the frame either and its very unsettling to the eye when the safety is depressed.. I paid $1100 for this?? Now my SA 1911 is up for sale and planning on picking one of these up soon!
Thanks for reviewing this. I see you have a few excellent custom 1911's. Wish I could test fire them all....Being that you own a few of these fine custom 1911's which one would you keep if you had to sell the rest off?
Ruffo Espinosa That's a horrible question... My favorite is my Les Baer S.R.P. and it's because it has the 20 LPI FS checkering and no front cocking serrations. Coming in a very close second place is my NHC Falcon. I also just received my SA PRO that very well might take the first place but still haven't fired it yet. Thanks for watching!
Can you tell us which one you like the most at the range between Ed Brown, Nighthawk or Wilson(all .45)?. Lets hold on the Les Baer for now until you put Six 600 rounds through it. Thanks for the videos?
After I fired all of them my favorite is the Nighthawk, second Wilson, then Baer, then Brown. I had problems with my Les Bears I fired thousands of rounds though all of them.
Nice! I haven't shot a Nighthawk yet, and thinking of getting one. I do have a kobra, carry and to me it shoots smother than my wilson 5" and baer 5". What kind of problems you had with the baers? Thanks(sorry for the ? symbol at the end of my last comment, meant to put this one ! ).
Only thing missing for my taste would be a magwell, easy upgrade tho. Also on the fence that this blaster comes blued, I would much rather see something like the black T coating they use on Springfields upper teir 1911's. To each is own right. Still giving much thought making this my next gun purchase.
