As an American I have just been Turned on to Cissie and Ada by a British friend...These guys are comic geniuses.I can't get enough of them! Thanks for this hilarious clip!
Oh, yes, I remember that era. It was when comedy was actually funny, and in the case of Cissie and Ada, hilarious. I can hardly see to type this for the tears of laughter. Thank you Les and Roy and God bless you.
The sad part is that this wonderful working-class humour is no longer tolerated in our precious easily triggered times. Les Dawson was a true comic gem.
@@vermilliongecko I think your reply is evidence enough. As for my academic qualifications. It’s merely a small conceit of mine to display it so as to piss people like you off. But you are perhaps correct. I should have in all honesty qualified my comment by saying that such humour is not tolerated in certain quarters any more.
@@vermilliongecko Evidence? In this day and age? Don't be ridiculous! There's nothing evidence can do that the victim card, anger, a bit of finger pointing, overconfidence, and a few cheap propaganda tactics can't do.
This is just hilarious & timeless. They make me cry with laughter. two great comic geniuses & Actors. We're never see the like again sadly. much missed!!!!!
Love it! “The slightest rocking motion makes him ill etc!” Hahahahaha these two were great together! 😆😆😆😆 Sadly, they’ve also ‘gone’ now RIP very funny 😁💕💕
Cissie and Ada is teeming with sexual innuendos-- the basis of most of their jokes. Top-quality modern British comedy does exist and I must bring to your attention generational differences. But I agree, brilliant comedy is difficult to find.
If any young, woke (so not funny) comedians are watching - this is real comedy. Superb writing, acting, lots of puns, innuendo and some good old toilet humour. RIP Les and Roy. I guess this double act would be cancelled today - for some insane reason. Someone, somewhere would be 'insulted' .
These two were very observant. I have a friend who said ...."I don't like my stove....", when I asked her if she still cooked a bit. She said it as if it had done her a personal injury. I put my head on the table and laughed. She is very quiet.
Thank goodness for people like you who upload these wonderful comedians who are sadly missed. A chance to see Les Dawson & Roy Barraclough who make me laugh and I never tire of watching them. They are true legends.
Les dawson dick emery benny hill dave allen bernard manning, all sadly passed on legends forever their comedy will live on thanks to you tube! The 70s were great times makes todays lot just shite.
You should go and watch the original....Norman Evans - over The Garden Wall......Les Dawson’s character is based on it, I love Les but Norman’s version of this woman is brilliant
Two comic geniuses. This was British comedy at it's best.this and Benny Hill and Tommy Cooper.that was my childhood growing up.Memories.Sadly, nothing like that nowerdays it's all a bunch of crap!!
A bygone age . Comedy at its very best.. The so-called comics of today with their fkg and blinding, I cant watch them..As for the 20 thumb down merchants stick to todays crap.
