Can't believe these guys are high school students. Their harmonies are fantastic. If you watch some college choirs sing the LEs Miserables Medley, some can't touch these guys. Kudos, guys. Hope some of you are still singing in your respective colleges.
I'd love to write about how beautiful and perfect this piece was, but I fear my english is too bad to impress what I have felt... You brought tears into my eyes and I'm so glad that I have found your choir. You guys are amazing and I will always come back and listen to this masterpiece. Your harmonies are beyond perfect and I wish I could join you! Thanks for sharing and making a little Les Misérables fan happy :) Keep going with this amazing work! Greetings from Germany 💕
I bet we will see some of the talented young people in a future production of les mis..maybe a Valjean, Javert, Fantine, Eponoie, maybe in a big Broadway production of les mis.
este musical é fabuloso.....pleno de lindas melodias. Já veio ao Brasil, mas somente em São Paulo. São Paulo, Brazil, saw this great musical a few years ago. Les Miserables is really fabulous, lot of great songs.
Well, I just spent an hour or so looking for the best performance of this medley on youtube, and I have found it. Thank you for doing so well; I thought I was going to have to settle for listening to a mediocre version, but this is truly beautiful.
Well done though I agree with the other commenter about the girl in the wheelchair. It seems they could have placed her in a more central position and worked the choreography around her (?). Otherwise lovely!
That was done quite well. My high school choir did this exact song back in '96 but this choir sang it much better. My choir actually had a guy sing the entire "God on High" song with the choir singing back up.
Ricky Martin was in the cast of the Broadway production of Les Miserables as Marius.and Debbie Gibson also starred in the stage production of Les Miserables.
I played parts of this medley, at piano, and you can see it at youtube. "Odilon da Silva Rocha" Preludio Encontro de Corais. The music starts to fall from the "shelves"...and it was a little dark, I was not seeing some notes "one hundred per cent". But it's not bad at all.
they probably are, but this piece has a musical accompaniment to go with it, my high-school choir did this medley too and the timing is incredibly difficult, would be super hard a cappella
The only thing I hate about this video is the exclusion of the girl in the wheelchair. Like everyone else I feel like she could have been placed closer to the group. But otherwise the music was great!
My attention was diverted to the young lady in the wheelchair, the choir could have been a lot more inclusive rather than have her sitting like Piffy on a bun at the side. Then I would have been more focused on the singing.
That's strange, because I was not offended by her presence or lack of, as I was enthralled by the whole performance!! Bravo, Well done, one and all!!!!
I agree they could have done more to include the wheelchair bound young lady. But maybe she's unpopular? But she's there. When I was in school, there were no "unperfect" children around. None with braces or a wheelchair or autistic or any other limitation. And we still had polio victims. There was a small, ancient building next to the grade school for "special needs" students. We knew nothing about them and had no curiosity to know anything about them. I honestly can't claim any higher ground than the 3rd Reich. I was in grade school, but if these kids, whom I never saw, were carted off to ovens somewhere to be disposed of I probably wouldn't have cared. That scares me.
