I can't believe how funny this is - watched it for the multiplthe time recently, and was almost constantly laughing (the female Australian star is in stitches, throughout). Barry, you are the funniest man, ever!
Im an Aussie living in LA Just watched cricket highlights and not to proud. My mrs. (A yank) sensed I wasnt to happy When I went to bed she cheered me up by using the same perfume as Joan Collins. Ya With Me. Thank You SIR LES. MY HERO. Well its quarter to 7
It doesn't get any better than this! The genious comedian - Barry Humphries - wow, wow, wow!! AND with a talk-show-host - that is SO "IN" - and WITH - without trying to take command all the time. Michael Parkinson is the best host of them all! I am a norwegian, reaching my 60th, and just love this program. Thanks, thanks, and thanks again!
Agreed. As an American, I find Parkinson to be spectacular. He was as great as Johnny Carson to me as an interviewer. The same understanding on how to interview a guest even though different personalities. I'm glad Parkinson stayed on TV. When Carson finished in my country, it was over.
As an American, I did not discover this part of Barry Humphries until the blessing of Covid 19...eat my shit if that comment offends you. I always liked Dame Edna, but in the US, we had no access to this other character, because we suck because of our political correctness. Sir Les should have been a giant over here in the 90's. Thank you Australian an England for the Bibliophile, comedic genius.
Very funny. Sir Les looks like The Master Technician who appeared in an episode of the 1967 -70 animated SPIDERMAN series. [SWING CITY is the name of the episode]
Touching her leg? I'm amazed that this is what you find prudish...The fact that he's wearing a fake erection seems to have escaped everyones attention... Comedy gold. Affront.. Sadly missed.
I think the Australian television broadcasters were a little afraid of Sir Les's ... fondling of his lmembrum virile” shall we say? There’s a lot of laughter from the audience but the cameras are firmly on people’s faces!
His last talk show here in the UK was in 2007 on ITV. I remember he said he went to Australia in 1982 do see how they did breakfast television, as he was going to be one of the presenters on TV AM, one of our first breakfast shows starting in February 1983. He must have been well liked to have been given a talk show.
@@craigmurray5919 I reckon it must be 1981 as Parky asks if Sir Les has been invited to the wedding which presumably was Charles /Diana, 29th July. Thanks for uploading this, there is no question , Barry is a comedy genious !.
