To be fair to Les Stroud, I've seen those episodes and nowhere did he say that he believed it, and keep reiterating that he was skeptical about it. Survivorman is got to be one of the best survival shows ever done.
Absolutely, but Joe isn't interested in facts that go against his bias. He's a complete joke and always has been. Why anyone would go on his show is beyond me. Or watch it for that matter.
A man-like creature that tens of thousands of people have witnessed and likely existed in the past and could possibly still be around in remote locations can't exist. But, the fucking preying mantis overlords who tweak our psychology and reprogram our us using dark jesters who taunt the ego out of us might be real. Joe, go in the woods with Les, Steve, and David for two weeks (not one overnight in a cabin) but actually in a tent where most of these "researchers" couldn't walk their out of shape selves. Film it all. If you can be open to DMT entities (because you've experienced them) then you can be open to this type of experience. Come back and do a special podcast event. Survival, camping, eating wild, and Sasquatch. It would a great podcast.
James there are plenty of other locations that are a lot more probable to ha e an encounter. Port Chatham could just be an internet legend when it comes down to it. I love the JRE and am certainly disappointed with his perspective that he bases on going out to areas that are well traveled, popular for hikers and "researchers". I'd like to see him give this a big chance. A week out in the deep, deep forests of WA or western Canada. Even my home state in the north east has deep, uninhabited forests that go on for miles and miles before reaching Canadian forests that go on for miles and miles and miles. Go deep and stay for week. No trails and cabins. That's what I'd like to see. I think he owes Les an apology.
Ted Forrester You’re right, personally that’d be something I’d love to watch. I’m not sure he’d do it, but honestly like you said there’s quite a bit on unexplored, remote land that could quite possibly not only hold Bigfoot but lots of other undiscovered life!
When I watched Les’ Bigfoot shows I was thinking, “If I trust anybody to actually make an unbiased effort toward finding Bigfoot it’s Les Stroud.” And yeah he had a jackass on with him who 1000% believed bigfoots were gonna come and snatch them up out of their tents every night, but Les Stroud wasn’t that guy. If you’re going to actually go and search for Bigfoot you’ve got to entertain the possibility that Bigfoot exists, and that’s what Les Stroud did. And Jesus Christ, I just watched a clip of Dan Ackroyd on Joe Rogan talking about crystal skulls lol what are you doing here joe.
Check out the YT channel ‘How To Hunt’ a professional hunting guide in Canada hosts it and he shares his stories and some viewers stories. This guy is not out to prove anything, he’s just trying to help people who have had their passion for the outdoors ruined for life by these things.
Yeah Todd Standing just thinks they're bipedal apes and don't like the possibility of it having a spiritual connection too or biblical like in genesis told of the nephilims.
calling someone a jackass because they believe something that you don't is very childish. only a child still uses the phrase "believe in bigfoot" Todd Standing just acknowledge it's existence. Plus you think the native americans are all lying just trick you years later? all of the tribes have a different name for it. that means they were all seeing them in the areas they lived in. just grow up dude.
Nah ... Always loved Les... Always liked Joe. Big difference between love and like. Not to mention Les is much more credible in anything cryptic than Joe. The most Joe goes outside is "outside" of his mind on DMT. Les is the real deal
@@tori9365 yeah. I respect Joe's podcast and the accomplishment of having almost anyone in the world regardless of personality or belief on it... But I lost a lot of respect for him here. He was a bigfoot fanatic for years, alongside believing fake the moon landing conspiracy and UFO conspiracy (which I don't criticize, especially since I've seen an unmistakable UFO personally). Never brought it up to this guy. Les Stroud stated several times that he criticizes Todd Standing, and he was skeptical of every piece of evidence that came his way. Even after seeing unexplainable light orbs, having trees fall at inexplicable times around him, and hearing weird sounds at night, he still is skeptical. I'd like to direct you to the Bob Gymlan RU-vid channel, he covers this stuff extensively, scientifically, and convincingly.
*Right? I'm definitely siding with Les on this one, and the guy is probably the most trustworthy person on television. Also, Les is super cool and friendly, he responded to a message of mine on Twitter once, then asked me to listen to his newest song. Lol.*
@@joshuacothran1560 I think Joe was being quite dismissive, not rude though, just very skeptical and not giving Les an agreeing vibe I recall, don't mark my words though.
@@graeme2011 because in an earlier podcast with Les Stroud, Joe encouraged him to make his Bigfoot show. Which, to be fair, Les approaches in a very nonbiased way. Joe's just dragging Les because it's even more popular to make fun of bigfoot than to research it. Not saying I believe or Les believes, but Les Stroud was trying to find out the truth in a fair way.
Christopher Cruz les didn’t fake any footage, the whole concept of the show was to smell out the bullshit of potential hoaxers. He remained skeptical the whole time. If you watch the episodes you will know what I mean. He shows footage and breaks down all the skeptical angels, and the series actually ends with him proving certain people to not be honest
It's pretty obvious why he did the bigfoot show. The 💰 was too good to pass up. Same as when Conor McGregor fought Mayweather. In that position how many of us would do it just for the money?
I love Les, it’s been over two decades and I’ll still rewatch survivorman episodes. I mean surviving alone in open ocean in a life raft out of any radio contact with a “rescue boat”? You need balls and a firm belief in the value you bring in order to do that shit. But with Bigfoot? I think in his Alaska episode he did hear something and it has stayed with him, but it wasn’t Bigfoot. Bigfoot aside Les is the real deal, but like Joe said it’s sad that he is swept up in the Bigfoot thing
@HONEST ENGINE why do ignorant, unintelligent people get so mad about hairy forest primates? Calm down jackass and don't have opinions on things that you're obviously uneducated on
Exactly. I don't understand how people can nay-say the bigfoot theories sooo much but those same people wouldnt spend a week, alone, camping in a bigfoot hotspot area with only recording equipment. I think most know deep down that they would have a profound experience that are scared to even admit is possible
After so many years of loving listening to the JRE, I've slowly realised how much of a genuine idiot Joe became. He's absolutely fucked himself by smoking so much DMT. Now he's becoming a right wing mouthpiece, when I used to fully believe he was the complete opposite. Fuck Joe and fuck the JRE.
Les Stroud was completely skeptical of everything he showed and was clear that he doesn't necessarily believe but that lets look at it honestly. He never once claimed Bigfoot exists.
@@Charlie_Rowe I’ve never seen one myself, but I’ve heard something that was uncharacteristic to any animals I’ve ever heard. He himself had several encounters with things that were not bear, not coyote, not a moose.
@@zaynes5094 Perhaps but there are so many genus of species that the average person is just not aware of, that may sound uncharacteristic of what a person believes an animal sounds like. I once thought I heard a woman screaming for help but my "country boy" partner advised me it was a fox mating call.
@@zaynes5094 I didnt have a strange interaction when I was homeless in the California mountains, and I was apparently living in bigfoot territory for 3 and a half years. But ive had very odd encounters with a group of animals trying to chase me off when I was a porter in Alaska. At first I was woken up by shaking of trees in the distance, at which point I didnt really consider anything other then a pack of wolves which in that area they probably werent feeding well so I just grabbed everything and my gun, then went and turned on my snow mobile which was luckily not covered in snow. But my only problem with the whole situation, was there was a constant tree shaking and if they were wolves then I would of heard distinctive characteristics of a pack of wolves. I dont think it was bigfoot, and I dont believe in bigfoot. However I understand when people say they have weird encounters in the wilderness they cant explain, because that was one of the very few times where I was scared shitless in a situation where I couldnt really piece together what was going on so I just left.

This whole thing with joe and les really shows how much of a cash shill joe is. joe always makes fun of ppl who make less than 100k yr, ok tough guy sell out for cash. Les is a far better man than joe.
Les hasn't done any "Bigfoot" shows in over 3 years. It was a one off series that he did. And I think he did it very objectively and professionally. He never said or did anything that wasn't objective and honest. Les Stroud is an amazing dude. I would love to have the opportunity to do what he does.
Yeah this is a weird position for Joe to take, especially if he hasn't even seen the one-off miniseries (which he obviously hasn't, otherwise why would he claim that Les has gone full Bigfoot nutjob?).
@@lanceupperrcut Joe was smashed when Les came in the show, and made a total ass out of himself. My money is on him talking bad about Stroud because he doesn't want people to call for him to be brought back on the show.

I still like Joe, I've just noticed that about him myself as well. .
Les remained objective and logical through the whole bigfoot show, it was Les Stroud associating himself with that fraud Todd Standing that put a slight blemish on his name. Les is legit.
Rogan is a liar, on many things, and promtes restrictions on speech. If you ever watch him in a political discussion you'll see him repeatedly say, "Don't say....".

Les stroud is the fucking man, and I love Joe too, but Joe needs to have a sit down and talk to les about the whole Bigfoot discussion because not once does les claim Bigfoot to be real
I loved Les's Bigfoot series. He took a very fair view and questioned everything he heard and was looking for. The most level headed approach to it for sure. Not to mention is kinda like a go to guy when it comes to being in the woods. He's probably spent more time in the woods in a few years then Joe has his entire life.
Sorry joe, you dont get to sit in a studio and make fun of les Stroud being out there, alone, experiencing it first hand. A 2 guided hunting trips a year dont count.
The person he's sitting with is the real-life version of Les Stroud. No bullshit reality TV/Bigfoot stuff, he doesn't get to live in his mansion after coming back from 2 weeks in the woods like Les does....
@@guenthersteiner8163 say what you will about Les an his mansion but how did he get it? Oh yeah he did survivor man ..he did his time so he's supposed to come home to his pup tent in Central Park? RSK 281 What exactly was bullshit about it? Because he had a life outside of making the show? He had a music career too. It's reality in the most real sense of the word.
Joe you lost any respect I had for you after the conversation you had with Les, then to say this. I agree that the Todd Standing footage is comical at best but to do a 180 on Les like that is pretty sad. Oh well, our world today.
your allowed to change your mind if you believe in something. Maybe joe did think Bigfoot was possible when he talked to him but maybe something since he’s has convinced him it’s not real. Don’t be like that. Haven’t you ever believed in something then changed your mind? Joe. If he change his mind I loose respect, lol. In the word of Biden,,,come on man
Joe the fact that u think a man living in the woods and have devoted his whole life to the wilderness.. why would Les's "search" aspect be considered "sad" i actually watch the series.. And enjoyed/appreciated his approach to such a "sad" topic..u know What makes me sad.. Is this judgment..
Yeah and then he went and did his own "special" series where he spent like a handful of hours with some other nutty bigfoot guys and from then on he has written everything off. Forget about the fact that Les went out with Todd Standing for like TWO DAYS total... he is an experienced survivalist so why all of a sudden poo-poo his experiences? Rogan is a total dolt sometimes.
Survivorman was the realest shit I ever watched. Nothing compares. Bear Grylls tried to fake it but it just can’t be faked. When Les is out there, and you see him going through what he’s going through, it FEELS real because it is real. If you get into his life beyond just the show, you learn how much of a toll it took on Les. He puts himself through essentially near-death experiences over and over, and it would take the better part of a year just for him to recover. After you go through that, you can’t replicate it. That’s why the show is so captivating.
Also why he quit doing the show. The episodes just took so much out of him. Like anything, in the beginning, you can push hard, but eventually given the choice, one chooses to move onto something else. How may weeks of our lives would we want to go through drinking sketchy water, and eating half a dead squirrel...It was good show. We we had more actual 'real' shows, not the fake crap, we have now. Cheers
The insane thing is he's just a normal dude too. When he's on JRE, Joe is talking to a pretty ordinary guy. Obviously the survival is extraordinary though. He just has the skill to survive and is able to navigate the trauma afterwards. If that's true I'm glad he stopped doing it, if it's best for him. He has given us an amazing gift.
Not necessarily above everybody but that he knows everything because of all the people he talks to. Don't think he thinks he's above others. Idk he might i just listen to what they talk about i don't get my feelings involved like some people do when they get offensive af and start simpin for someone.
I was 9 years old watching survivorman and I really did learn a lot, and it also sparked a massive interest within me to get out and learn things a normal city kid would never do. Best survival show ever made.
What Joe did to Les literally made me stop listening to the podcast, Lol. Not because i care too much about the bigfoot stuff or even Les, but the fact that he is such a snake behind peoples backs is unreal to me.
Joe - Judging and negatively criticizing someone, let alone a friend, for something they are genuinely passionate about, is pathetic, give your head a shake I thought you were better than that.
Especially when Rogan himself seems terrified of the outdoors and real nature. Sure he goes bow hunting with professional guides, etc, but every time someone comes on who's been in the thick of it out in the wild, Joe recoils in horror at the very idea. I notice that Joe also has no explanation for some of things Les has experienced first hand.
@Patrick White except that Rogan was the one who told Les to do a Bigfoot show when he had him on the podcast and was listening intently to les' stories of what he has heard in the wilderness. Then goes and shits on him for making the show joe wanted
I got the impression he is more saddened by how hard they push a narrative that isn't supported by evidence as facts, as opposed to the fact he made something at all. I'm sure if Les made it more like a "what if" piece that didn't make outrageous claims as facts he'd think it was interesting as it would be left up to the viewer if it's real or not
Simple point. He has become little to cocky&arrogent, compounded with way too mucho "Wacky Backy"consumed.. And Glen living the outdoor/Homestead life in Alaska is commendable but i would have more faith in the Native People views&beliefs on the Sasquatch phenom along with Les Stroud.. It's o/K not wanting to believe in Sasquatch/Bigfoot ,but being a MMA Junkie or someone who's not originally from Alaska and all of a sudden considers himself a expert does stink of hubris!
Yup. I understand it was late in the podcast, but Rogan let a perfect avenue for further discussion escape him. He didn't even acknowledge what Glenn had said. Weed isn't always the answer, as it turns out.
Knifey he didn’t push anything were you even listening ? Joe asked him, he deferred him to what scientists have already stated and said he wasn’t remotely qualified to give an opinion, and then stated just what he’s noticed with the weather in his particular location.

Hey Joe, I'd like to see you and that guy with you go out in the woods for just 2 nights. This is my 1st time checking you out and my last. Less went in a skeptic and is slowly unraveling the facts. Anybody can sit in a studio and blast somebody for trying. As an old saying I've heard over and over - Here's to the man who said it could be done Cheers to the man that got it done And to Hell with the man who didn't try. Less has done more than anyone to uncover the real truth not just sit around and wonder like you and your cohort. But it's people like yall and Matt the Moneymaker that make the eyewitness to a real sighting wish you could see what we've seen. A Big Thank You to Les for his efforts in the search for a legend. If it weren't for the explorers we wouldn't have a museum and the history books wouldn't be as interesting.
he literally says "im an idiot dont listen to me" constantly, i've been watching since episode 60 and he's consistently claimed to not know shit about shit and i quote "i just repeat shit smart people say" he more so has a problem with people faking big foot sightings/bullshit artists.
I mean he had a show about Bigfoot and basically he built an intolerance to people claiming Bigfoot is real. Perfectly logical about his opinions about the ape
When Les was out in Alaska, that was one of the few places that something like “Bigfoot” could actually exist. 100’s upon 100’s of miles of uninhabited forest that no one ever steps foot in, same with northern Canada. Not saying Bigfoot is out there but it’s possible.
I live in Alaska. And no bullshit. They're real. All the native tribes up here have a different name for it. Fishermen see it all the time. And they're not just forest monkeys. They're a tribe of intelligent humans.
And they are not limited to vast wilderness like mentioned. You need to talk to some locals from Central PA, eastern OH, Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, and even Vermont. I know enough people who I trust with my life that have seen these things. Embarrassingly enough I have been scared out of the woods by something I couldn’t see, and I am an avid outdoorsman who has spent my entire life in the Appalachians. I don’t go out unarmed anymore, period.
They’re very real and also in places that are more populated than you would think. They’re just that good and staying hidden when they want to. Not very hard for them to sneak around people
Joe you should really watch les around directors commentary he’s talking about his episode with Todd standing. It proves everything you think about him is wrong. He’s not crazy into Bigfoot at all
Dude: I have personally seen thinner ice therefore maybe global warming? Joe Rogan: Personally experiences have some meaning. Les: I have personally experienced things I cannot explain therefore maybe bigfoot? Joe Rogan: Sad.
Joe clearly hasn't watched a whole episode or he would have realized that Les wasn't hopping to either side, he kept an open mind but was skeptical when shown things. He respected all of the people that helped him and respected their views but also challenged them like the episode where he tries to fool Jeff Meldrum with a Hollywood effects studio's fake sasquatch foot print. Les has clearly stated in every episode that he means to be careful in how he approaches this topic as to not lose credibility or make the search harder for others
Spartacus Mills The comment was made because Joe was always saying Les should do a Bigfoot show. Les then does that and now Joe is criticizing it. That's not "changing your mind".
@James Klette You can't prove a negative. The evidence surrounding the existence of one or more large unidentified mammalian species is too great to dismiss as something that never existed. Is it an 8' ape man? Probably not. But you can't say it is nothing.
That DMT is meltin his brain. Same thing happened with the whole Amy Schumer debacle. He defended her stealing jokes when one of Joe's biggest wins was getting up on stage and shitting on Mencia at his own show
Les Strouds curiosity regarding Bigfoot also stemmed from an incident that he had up in Alaska. He claimed that while filming Survivorman he heard growls in the bushes and it shows him on camera taking multiple glances in the direction of where the sound was coming from. After he finished shooting his clip and removed his camera the growls grew louder. He then mentioned that whatever made the growls took off at high speed and covered hundreds of yards in a matter of seconds breaking down trees as it ran.
As a Canadian I’ve been watching Les Stroud for years. A little Bigfoot thrown in doesn’t alter my opinion of him. I’ve spent a lot of time alpine, ice and mixed climbing in Alberta. I think the vast majority of climate change deniers don’t spent much time in the climate. They spend most of their time in air conditioned offices and air conditioned SUV’s.
You still should. Joe is talkin crazy. The Bigfoot show Les made was a completely open minded Legit show. Not forcing a belief with fake stuff just simply showing you what they found and what they have. Way better than these othe fake shoes with roars I’m the background n shit lol
I got into the Bigfoot thing because of Joe... He was really into it at one point and took everything Les Stroud told him as proof. Then he made a TV show about it, interviewed all the whack-a-doodles and now he ridicules the whole genre. Paulides has his history with Bigfoot and now he's just about missing people. But it's like he can't mention Bigfoot so he's trying a different approach. He's just correlating data without pointing fingers or making suggestions. I don't think he'd be interested in talking to Joe. And I don't think Joe would want to know how many Bow Hunters go missing under strange circumstances... Anyhoo. I'm still interested in Bigfoot because, although youtube is crammed full of whack-a-doodle Bigfoot videos, there's a few that prompt more questions than answers
Apparently the JRE declined Paulides. If Joe had gone out on a real expedition with Les or someone doing a long term habituation he'd have a different perspective. You can't think that the DMT beings are real and that Sasquatch is a lonely middle aged man's fantasy. Love ya Joe but you see where this is going, right?
This is getting surreal. I looked all over RU-vid and at Les Stroud's youtube channel and it looks like the Bigfoot stuff Les did was years ago now. Les STroud's channel looks dead, there's couple of months-old music videos with almost no views there as the most recent videos . WTF is going on?
