Well it wasn’t the first time, during season one there was a moment when he said it after eating arctic willow buds. Then in Africa he said after eating a pound of termites and dirt.
Martin Hwang that we can agree on, I’ve never missed an episode on the 3 seasons we see on RU-vid. I didn’t watch anymore because I thought they were done, wish I would have seen Em all
As I recall from the commentary, this is the episode where the rescue crew was stuck in smokey greasy tents eating really bad tasting canned food while Les was gorging himself on Arctic Char.
Yeah, when he displays his catch and then is describing what happened. He shows so much happiness and satisfaction he literally laughs with joy, real joy. He knows that not only will he survive he will have one of the best meals ever.
Jeff Neiman They do have tons of adds, so I was wondering if he was saving up for something new! Am watching as many as I can, cuz I wanna help fund whatever he has planned 🤗 I am sure it’s gonna be great stuff
Les’ energy before and after the fish meal is insane! Dudes Lethargic as hell before but the second that fish is on he is so pumped and after he eats you can hear the difference in his voice!
@@bailey_host that was for sure my favorite episode. My only criticism about his show is he never shows him gutting an animal. Some people really dont know how to do it, believe it or not
bush tucker man and ray mears as well back to the 80's,not quite the same but equally as knowledgeable to be fair, all men you'd want by yer side, but les likes to rough it,shtf style lol
How can I survive with a gun a premade wooden shack and a canoe and free whale blubber and a fishing pole..... o wait that’s easy as shit no wonder people don’t watch this guy lol bear grills is better this dudes a hack
This guy always brings and conveniently finds necessities to makes his only 7 days alone easier like fishing poles , easy fire starting , dude if u have fresh water like he does in this episode 7 days without food is 100% not life threatening , staying fully hydrated and the most minor foods ur fine in 7 days . Fans of this guy need to just admit they love the show for many reasons but stop trying to say this dude is the legit a survivalist with the bare minimum lol he caught a fish with a fishing pole and started a fire with a battery “ with charge conveniently “ and wool , this ain’t rocket science or skill this is planning before filming , just admit the shows great cause he seems like a good dude and we like seeing people outside the cities roughing it , 99% of the time he ain’t out there with just his clothes asked to survive for 7 days .
Amen to that! Over cooked ramen even the best meal I ever had after coming off a fast! I love that first meal, part of the reason I enjoy a good fast now and then
I know, it always annoys me when people say, "I'm not eating that" while watching a show like this. Uh, you're stupid if you think after a week without ANYTHING to eat that you'd be picky 😂
Les is a genius at work. From him surviving solo, filming the entire thing at a professional level without a crew, and the ability to speak so eloquently and narrate his own show is remarkable. Not to mention, he also wrote and sang the opening theme song for the show. Great job with your career Les been watching you since a young kid 15 years ago.
These old episodes are the best, in my opinion. They first aired during a really lousy time in my life, and yet I have bittersweet memories of being alone and watching the first three seasons. The grain of the footage, the original moody music, the beautiful places... these things kept me company. There would be those nearly hopeless days when my greatest joy was finding that a few episodes were on, so I'd fall asleep watching them because of the vibe. It taught me a great lesson, watching these old episodes: Les was always alone himself, yet he always survived and we got our fade to black. I will always treasure this program, I still fall asleep accompanied by Mr. Stroud.
Weird to say, but this was the show that my family would come together on friday nights and watch. My stepdad had a whole bunch of tv recordings of survivorman episodes that he had been collecting, so that was what we watched. Still watching to this day, love the content.
This is forever my favorite episode. I’m drawn back to it time and time again year after year. Thank you Les for the years of challenging missions and entertainment you’ve provided us. 🙏🏼
Watching Les almost starve is pretty hard. Hearing his voice explain how he almost didn't go fishing, and then trailing off into laughter.. dude was absolutley famished.
if you have a pot or a pan or something metal that holds boiling water, you can boil out enough seawater to salt your fish to keep it fresh longer. It will take a while to get the salt.
One of my favourite things about his shows is he’ll set up cameras hella far away just to record him walking across a field. And then go back and pick it up
That's what Les has to do all the time though. If he has footage of himself hiking up a mountain, it means that he came up the mountain, set up camera, then went down the mountain and up again, so he can capture himself on camera.
You asked what everyone at home is doing well I broke my hip 4 days ago and now after surgery I am stuck in bed watching you on your adventures probably for like the fifth time! Lol the escape I need right now thank you
What a difference in his mood before he caught and ate the hot fish meal. Huge difference. Also, love hearing people complain about hours and hours of continuous rain. Here in Las Vegas, NV, we count our yearly rain in minutes for the entire year.
Was anyone else as excited as he was when he caught those fish? Lol 😂 incredible Also, the morning of day 5. The upwards shot with the words “made in Canada” behind him. Classic
This is the best survival show by far. I remember when Bear followed up with his show, with him showing off with extreme stuff (the show sucks). Anyway, thank you Les.
Bear was a hot-dog, a show-off. One episode where he over nighted in a swamp, he did a back flip off a tree branch into the water instead of just jumping in normally. Les is type of guy I’d rather drink a beer with around a campfire.
You les fanboys forget to admit les brags about his filming himself 20 times an episode and conveniently always has equipment to make his survival not only easier but usually easy enough that I could be fine for a week myself, bear doesn’t brag about being the most realistic he just wants to show some things to do when lost in the wild , he’s not trying to say shit about being this or that , online has to try and make everything the best or most popular of a category it’s unnecessary, I like les’s show and I liked bear grylls show they are different , les doesn’t live only on the bare minimum he usually has a survival kit that makes his trip easier , acting like bear can’t survive with a kit alone is stupid I could survive alone for only 7 days with a kit to start fires and conveniently containers of some sort to store rain water like les always somehow finds 20 feet away from where he lays the cameras .
@@slamminsammy941 Yeah, I don't trust any man that literally eats shit. The things he's trying to show you are things that'll kill you in a real survival situation.
"It's still coming in, the rain on me here. But, there's a little bright spot in the sky up there, so, who knows." Anybody who has been on a camping trip in northern Europe knows how welcome that 'little bright spot' is, and the optimism it can bring.
Love you Les, I've grown up watching your show and reading your books. You've given me such a good appreciation for the Earth and everything that we take for granted
The way you reacted to that first Arctic char bite, he was already in the frying pan. It was a text book landing, and then the celebration, loved it. But good eye to spot the narwhal driving them in, and getting back out there while the gettin' was good. And it was good. 😃👍
Favorite show, I learn everytime I watch an episode. You show it all, catching the fish, cleaning, cooking. Building a shelter. I love it. You are the real deal.
This is amazing.. I felt so good for him when he finally caught a fish!! I was jumping and throwing punches in the air and shouting and clapping and smiling a lot.. Les Stroud, you are a super person. Thank you for uploading these (and for making 'em in the first place) ♥
