I know the polka from County Kerry (Ireland) where it is danced in the polka set. I'm no musician -- the music sounds very different yet has the same 'bounce' -- the dancers could be dancing the irish version, the step looks to be the same, just they not doing the formation (the set is for four pairs of dancers, is a circular based dance with lots of phases and formations that I can never remember :-)
