Ive had the medically necessary version of that surgery and that is the worst pain I have never been in, in my life and I was only 13. The fact anyone is willingly getting it done when they are perfectly fine is baffling to me
Yep! we need to addrress society's obsession with height. People say it is a preference thing but tbh average human's likes/dislikes are heavily influenced by what society glorifies and what it ridicules, we like certain brands without even knowing much about them coz we see them glorified (iphones for example, in my country it is just a status symbol, even though people might not know what UI/UX differences are there which makes it a better experience, they will buy it for status... there are many other examples) Same goes for body image, the person himself/herself who has a trait that is ridiculed or considered undesirable, as well as the person who is with them keeps getting these constant poking through media (be it social media or movies or TV shows .. what not) and that does make an impact. I'm not saying people should just give up on jokes or preferences, I'm specifically pointing out the instances where jokes and talks are not built on top of traits but the joke itself it the person has that trait, there, the person feels like he/she is an insult for normal people , that sucks
There has been a few stories of little people getting that surgery to get a decent height extension willingly. Tehy are technically fine, able to live fine and healthy without it, but I can understand why they would undergo that surgery.
@@akshaysharma30498 well as it concerns height let's be honest, that's a woman thing. This girl getting it is baffling as heck. No dude, none, ever, said a girl that was 5'10" was short. The only dudes that might express height preference at all are. 1. Short guys who might prefer very short girls so they still are taller. But that's not promoting height. 2. 6'7" basketball players who want the 6 foot girls so they aren't completely towering over them. But that's like five dudes. Girls on the other hand are the ones pushing height constantly as something they desire in men
