In my life I’ve come across 3 individuals (only women) who have those beautiful eyes. One is Leslie Gore. Her eyes are other worldly, they are like gems in how they give sparkle with optimism and friendship. Leslie Gore’s eyes are mesmerizing. This is a good rendition of the Rascals’ song.

I love this version. LG was "quite a striking beauty", in those days. Us boys, all had a crush on her. I still to this day love her music. She is surely missed...

Lesley recorded this song for the album, MAGIC COLORS. The album was scheduled for release in November 1967, however it was shelved due to lack of success of the single. All tracks have been released on the Bear Family 5-cd set IT'S MY PARTY (1994), and in July 2011 on the album, MAGIC COLORS: THE LOST ALBUM PLUS BONUS TRACKS,

Thank you for uploading this. It's GREAT! This was very courageous for a singer to record then without the multi-tracking that most were using then to fatten their sound (like Dusty Springfield). Cilla Black didn't do it, Matt Monro certainly never did, and the tracks on Magic Colors show what I always knew, this fine singer could really sing, and still can! Thanks for sharing this, I'm buying the CD.

Awesome!! I've never heard her version! It's a bit sparse with the instrumentation, certainly different from the original. I like it.
