The sad part about any dialogue with Squid Games guy, is that he doesn't really know how to react to what the other people are saying. And I have no idea what Kreia is even inspiring in the Acolyte.

She's not a fan of Star Wars; she's a fan of the _idea_ of Star Wars. Heck, I'd argue that she's not a fan of anything she claims the Acolyte is inspired by, because they resemble those things in only the most shallow, superficial ways.

I’m a huge Star Wars. I remember back when seeing EP IV way back then. My fault did not know anything about the books until nearly 20yrs after watching IV. Since then, I have nearly a 100 in books, comics & ebooks (take to Iraq). I have watched some really good commentaries to the current Star Wars what is now DSW which is a pale form of GL had created. (Forgiveness for grammatical errors) I want to comment on this poorly created show from a true SW historian and why it does not work. Why this show will not work Acolyte (the joke of DSW shows and movies). They claim we know nothing of SW. We just do not know DSW which is not GL true work, like I say…paaaaaaaaale…version. 1. The show is set 100ys before EP I. This does not work due to it being referenced as High Republic. If the High Republic, I believed it to be the early years way before Bane, way before any of the Sith Wars. If the story was flesh out more with more character development. I would have developed a 10 book story to really create a truly developed story before bringing it down to a tv format to designate 1 or two books to be the first series depending upon the creative writer. Apparently, Headland was not this. Getting back to the timeline of the days of the High/Old Republic. The reason it should not be a 100yrs into the past. After the events of the Darth Bane Trilogy, the intelligence network was set up and most like financial savings beginning to develop. This is the start of corruption of the republic, ever be so small (like snowball effect starts with a pebble. By the time this show comes up in the timeline, the corruption level is very high due to the generations of the rule of two Darths. They would have maneuvered people into many different positions to promote the efforts to take over the galaxy whether it would be soon or another 1000 years. Reading some of the books and EP1 being a source, it would seem to be a Master and Apprentice, not a group which would be seen as aggression. Many millenniums of dealing with people certain protocols were setup and two was only needed. 2. Flashiness of the Jedi, during the Bane book 1 had shown certain Jedi members who were flashy compared to the time period of EP1. This show would not work. Most likely work more in the early years of the Republic due to being in flashy robes would fit to distinguish themselves as Jedi or Guardians of the Galaxy. 3. Jedi Masters being gullible or evil. The Jedi had been around for many millenniums. To say that Jedi are dumb after so many cases of how to deal in interjecting with different people and the procurement of future padawans. Today being a Master for many hundred years and suddenly doing evil would make Yoda more susceptible to becoming a sith if ever did something like this. The Jedi itself are not perfect, they fight against their own feelings that are harmful and corruptible and becoming seduced by the dark side, especially anger. Example: Kenobie was not anger at the seen of his master being killed in front of him, would be wrong. Him not using some of that anger to push to not only fight this antagonist, but to bring an into him. He just did not rely on it solely due to his breathing and calming his mind. Anger still lingers despite the efforts, but it is not solely used to urge him to fight. It dissipates afterwards and most likely he learned from his mistake and grew from this. The last scene of him with Maul where he watch him go through three different stances is one where he was with Gui-Gon and the last is his more mature stance where wisdom and reliance on the force was paramount. 4. This new group of a’ la witches. Most likely Jedi would have nothing to do with them, basically leaving them alone and isolated. Proof: The Planet Dathomir in particular is an example. Most likely the Jedi knew of the Nightsisters and Yoda would have known of them. If they presented themselves as a problem, there would have annihilate them, but bring about a black mark upon the Jedi. It is possible being under the guidance of the government, it was not the best of ideas. During the Tenebrous and Plagueis years, certain individuals would be in placed and guided to have Dothomir from being invaded or inspected. They would could have kidnapped nightsisters over the years to experiment on the midichlorians. Darth Tenebrous would have sent Plagueis to prove himself to investigate and kill pretenders of the mantle of the sith. They be utterly decimated and maybe their history erased as though they never existed considering the planet Kamino was hidden greatly. There’s probably more, but that is it for now.
