Lesser Celandine is an invasive plant that is aggressively spreading in the Northeast US. If you find it in your yard or your neighbor's yard you'll want to aggressively fight it as early as possible or you might be stuck with it for a long time.
And my huge mistake: When you first identify this stuff and start to pull it out, do not compost it! It will take over your compost area and then come back next year. It will also aggressively spread wherever you use that compost! Because it's more resilient and grows earlier than anything else in your compost (or that you plant), it'll use the compost to take over your freshly dug area and it'll be all over that plot before you know it.
