Keith Urban giving free guitar lessons!?!?!? Holy shit!!! I just came across this and am pretty stoked he would take the time! Awesome way to treat the fans Keith! Really looking forward to seeing you this month at Soaring Eagle
He's actually not doing this for free. I bought one of his guitars and with it comes 30 cd's to learn in 30 songs in those days. Someone took this off the disc and put it on youtube. Looks like someone did alot of the cds on here so far.
I love that in this video series Keith starts them all by saying ‘today we are working on song xyz’ but wears the same outfit in all the videos. Love it, putting in a solid days work for the fans. Thank you Keith for the videos, miss seeing you at 202.
I like the way Keith gives these lessons. He explains the chords easier instead of Cadd9, he just says modified C because he knows why confuse new guitar players!!! nice job
though it's been a whie now, I can still feel so much pain.. em d c g.repeat next verse like a knife that cut's you, the wound heals, but the scar, that scar remains
I'm learning songs faster than ever! Thanks Kieth. I do need to know the name of the tune at the end of this video. It would be a great challenge for me to learn it. Thanks for sharing your tallent!
Hi, I'm trying to play guitar songs myself and there is a bit of a special hobby with that, I'm interested in guitar brands, could someone please advise me what exactly is the type of guitar the musician plays in the video? Under the name URBAN, which can be seen on the guitar head, nothing was found or photos or information. Thanks.
So at appx 5.54 on the transition from the D to the C Chord I noticed that he didn't play the standard open C as the graphic in the top right showed , instead he stuck with the modified C , is that the recommended way or should the standard C be used? Its obviously an easier chord transition if you use the modified C.
Can't help but notice the switch from Keith to Ben... the audio is noticeably thinner. Ben did a fine job but shouldn't Keith actually play the song after the tutorial? Sounds like big music got in the way... disappointing.
Where’s the bridge for heaven’s sake? Em-D-C-G...”though it’s been a while now, I can still feel so much pain”... This lesson needs edited. It’s incomplete. The singer is a little off on the phrasing too.
Yep you miss it so much. I was waiting some of these because I have a friend out of state starting and asked me to recommend a good on line. I've noticed that many of the songs taught are taught wrong. Kinda breaks the heart to get 3 play alongs but miss main transitions and chords and sometimes rythm wrong chords and he adds licks he doesn't show. It's like here's the chords and strums a few times ok good you got it. Seems all online are like that and want money. I think Andy is ok so I'm recommending him for Few bucks a month it's far better than this S and at least complete.
It's nice that Keith is doing this series of instructional videos. That said....why not do this correctly? So many things off here: 1) the original song is tuned down a 1/2 step, 2) they didn't cover the bridge...which is a very important part of the song dynamically, 3) the other singer has terrible phrasing and is considerably out of pocket, 4) what was the "back-up" singer doing??? 5) Keith did a great job explaining strumming dynamics between the chorus and verses...then the other dude plays the chorus strumming very dynamically but then continues beating the crap out of the guitar on the second verse. Geezus...he's playing like a noob with no feel. If you're going to "teach" the song...teach it correctly!
