Your style of teaching is so unique and effective which is unmatchable by any of the Malay learning books they put on display at Kinokuniya. Keep up the good work and soon you will be known by millions in the world as the go-to person for learning BM :)

Hi Lisa, your videos are very well presented. I can speak simple Melayu eg while buying Nasi Padang and can also understand most of what you say in this video. =) Nice to hear the Malay language spoken on your channel as it is a beautiful language.

I really appreciate if I can get answer for my question.. If I learn from these lessons will I really sound like a local?.. I don't want to talk to locals using books language or extra full sentences like a good student... I know locals shortcut and play around with words... Do these lessons follow that..or is it just formal Malay?

Hi, saw your question and I'll help to answer. Based on this video. She uses casual conversation + polite sentences (colloquial) Not really a formal malay as she include words like kat ( a shortform of dekat) ( tak = shortform of tidak) and (nak = shortform of hendak). Hope this answer!
