Hello, my name is Lisa and I teach colloquial Malay.
I'm not a professionally certified Malay language teacher - I simply want to help foreigners feel more welcome in this sunny country I call home. I upload new videos every Wednesday unless I fall ill or anything like that.

I am watching this video from my "asrama" dormitory. I am studying at a Malaysian university (Taylors), which is in Subang Jaya, a city very near to KL. I can speak malay a little, because I have local friends, but all verbs and phrases I know are just from them. Its not systematic knowledge. Terima kasih banyak kerana anda kerja ahahha. This phrase I know.
thank you so much. Im Malaysian but very weak at BM in classes i don't know what the teacher is saying this really helped me. i'm 10 now i'm so blessed to find this video.
Please sweetheart keep up the great teaching please my new girlfriend has no idea i am learning this. i want to be able to impress her Mother and Father. my life depends on it!

“¿Are you photosynthesizing?” 🤣 I LOVE the Malay lessons outdoors, because I love to be outdoors, do outdoor activities, and I do Environmental work professionally, so outdoor words & phrases are what I most want & need to learn. Also so much enjoyed the beautiful soothing sounds of the stream flowing by, the birds singing, and enjoyed to look at the beauty of bukit hutan hijau 🌳 🦜 🌳 and to see you happy & smiling to be outdoors during pagi, so lovely. ¡Terima kasih banyak, Lisa! Now going to watch Outdoors Part 2
Halo! Nama saya, Mira~ Umur saya dua puluh tiga tahun. Saya datang dari Philippines! Can't wait to learn more, this language, so far, is the easiest for me to learn. Ur so good, thank you so much!! I finished lesson 1-7 tonight ^.^
Petang which means evening sound so much like a city that is a bit west on Sumatra named Padang. Tengah means middle. And Malam sound so much like Malay and Malaysia is known for awesome night views and I don't mean on a new just big cities and more modern era also in the past the Malay area have a nice view of the night sky as usually outside of rainy season in there is a nice view of night sky at least that are associations to me. Other that that Malaysia have approximately six hours of sunshine every day so it doesn't get too hot which is nice enough of clouds.
I'm just looking in the comments and I see comments that are 5 years old (2019) when the publish date is 2022. is RU-vid drunk again or am I missing something? i n regards to the video, do you think vocab for school? would children that move to Malaysia just naturally pick it up?
