With a Solent stay, you can tack in a normal way when you use the inner forestay. When using the forestay when tacking you furl the sail. Since it will be light weather, that is easy to do. If you have to tack a lot, you best use the inner forestay.

Is "potatoes" code for something?😉 "Combustion" wood stoves are great, cook, internal pipe heats water, cold climate plenty of free fuel laying around, no LPG issues. Portable Induction elec stove as backup if required. Idea for the windows - White Perforated One Way Vision UV Vinyl.

Awesome! Yes, I think a UV solution for the windows would be a great idea before heading anywhere warm.
