Bitcoin faces the same problem gold did and still does. Sure it is easier to store and transfer, but the high transaction fees do not make it usuable for daily trades. For bitcoin to be traded daily, buying groceries for example, you would need a cheap way to do it. So you could introduce a new blockchain that is cheap and has its value pegged to Bitcoin. But that can end with the same problem Fiat faces today, as it used to be pegged to Gold at one point as well. I believe with blockchain technology this problem can be fixed. The problem is being fixed today by creating layer 2 tokens on top of Ethereum for example that are much cheaper to use. But on bitcoin blockchain new tokens cannot be built upon. I don't see how it replaces cash directly because of this problem.

He is talking about dollar loosing value 2% in a year. You are loosing your life energy 10% in 5 years. - Bitcoin is volatile, - Yes, everything is volatile. In dollar, I can loose 10% in 5 years. I can calculate the values for 5 years, but in bitcoins, I can loose all my life energy collected in 1 second. Yeah, that’s looking much safer. 🤣
Bitcoin settlement (delivery) is only faster than gold now bc not very many people use it yet. If 8 billion people start using btc, it would take years to clear a transaction and the fees would be thousands of dollars. Lightning isn’t sufficient to solve this bc it still has to interact with the base chain at some point and 7 transactions a sec is orders of magnitude to slow to handle that much traffic!

The vast majority of people will never be able to interact with the base chain even to set up a lightning Wallet bc it would literally take decades to clear that many transactions
Arranged marriage would be good for most people. Most women sleep around until they are 29 and want a family. According to science women are badly damaged at this point assuming they have been messing around. Women are looking for a provider at this point after the women had fun. This would prevent women from damaging themselves and protect them from guys who just want to sleep with them. A lot of women are single moms, damage, and ability to bond is horrible. Stuck in their ways and etc. Most women end up alone at the point because they are used up goods/ a bad investment. They compare their current boyfriend to all of the men before him and expect the boy friend to be better than all of the previous people she messed with in every way. Now they only want one more kid and have standards that are higher. Women have a baby daddy in their life. It does not work because time / having kids is not in her flavour when it comes to a man wanting her.

Men would be forced to settle with one woman and that is easy for most men. Kids would have both parents at home and they could get ridge of no fault divorce. Women suffer more by making their own decisions than when they are with a man of character. The premise that a woman still gets the benefits of marriage when the couple is divorce is unfair. Should a woman be forced to uphold her duties as a marriage woman with a man she is no longer with? No, then why should a man still be responsible for his duties as a married man. A man loses most of the time because a man lacks information about women's true nature until it is too late. Look at the divorce rate between man and woman also the divorce rate between woman and woman. The problem is women and men putting up with their bad behavior. No longer tho because men are now standing up for themselves.
Listened to 20 minutes. He mentioned gold parity won’t work because we used it in the past and fails and he adds the instant transactions view point. BTC is the same as gold, limited and scarce in supply but virtual and instant, adapted to nowadays. Both Gold and BTC will fail because peoples greed. BTC for now is not regulated and has an arbitraje market price which can change out of sudden …

Good explanation re: bitcoin and fiat. Could have chopped 30 minute discussion of religion off back end. Religion is dying .. because we have more critical thinkers in this world. Main issue with BTC that people seem to don't understand is that it has 0 predictability. And what do I mean by this... 1. We don't know who tf the creator is and what impact could it have if they decide to re-surface or launch BTC 2.0 or mingle with the genesis block 2. It's literraly backed by nothing, insured by no one and has no intrinsic value 3. It can be easily manipulated and monopolized (already happened) 85+ % of the BTC is held in less than 0.1% of the addresses " 4. It has no anonimity 5. It's a really risky way to store value (your value can be sliced by more than 10% by the end of the day - these are normal daily moves since the ETF has been approved) We already have an exchange medium for the world, is called the USD, it's backed by the strongest and most advanced military in the world, the issuer has and provides some predictibility

A newbie is not going to listen for a 10-hour lecture on Bitcoin explained more thoroughly. This was to get them thinking and interested to dig deeper on their own. How can you say do not invest in gold.....I don't understand thos as money and gold have been around way too long. Help me understand this please becuase you talking like bitcoin will replace money and gold is not worth investing into......gold price keeps rising. You buy bitcoin.....you don't own ot becuase you don't/can't hold it. Money you can hold clearly.....same with gold. Please explain this. Gold failed because custody must be centralized in order to transact and IOUs issued which requires trust and led to printing more notes than in reserve this leading to break its backing and become fiat, printed ad Infinitum. This is what bitcoin fixes. U can custody yourself and store in your head, and transact anywhere instantly. Can’t be printed, censored, or confiscated

Gold is the answer if you want to retain generational wealth. Bitcoin has zero intrinsic value as it’s a token on a blockchain ledger or software in the cloud. Turn off the lights and it is useless. Once CME like the Carrington Event hits (which is due about now) and it vanishes forever. To solve the instant settlement issue, a crypto currency can be backed by gold allowing gold to be exchanged for the crypto without losing value but allowing you to store your wealth in the physical metal. His analysis of gold real price is in the middle of the range of $50k to $100k depending on who gives the numbers. It will hit these values during a revaluation as well as a shake up in the paper gold market. The US will most likely forced to Do something similar. I don’t see them using Bitcoin as the reserve or peg to the US Dollar. Yes it’s slowly losing purchase power thus the need to peg or back it with gold. Bitcoin is too volatile to use as a peg or backing. Buy BTC at your own risk. I see it as Tulips but have done some trading, but don’t trust it to store my families wealth. I’m in the AI software space and fully understand Bitcoin which is why I steer clear out some dabbling.
Are you serious.... Bitcoin in fact IS new. It's a new "store of value". It's too new right now. It's only 15 yrs old. Money has been around for hundreds of yrs and gold is 6000 yrs old.....at least. Help me understand your point.
Gold is accually getting harder and harder to mine. The miners are finding it more and more difficult to find gold. How is bitcoin going to overtake gold......it's too soon to make that claim.....please help me understand this.
It’s all about scarcity ! Bitcoin has a finite supply of 21 million, gold hasn’t got a finite supply. Bitcoin’s code is set and cannot be changed, therefore supply cannot be increased. It’s like trying to convince someone that 1 + 1 isn’t equal to 2
Gold is old technology. It’s heavy, bulky, easy to steal, difficult to possess yourself … there’s a long list of negatives. Bitcoin solves all of those negatives.
