I'm sitting here cringing thinking about knee injuries and the surgery... Gah! Sorry mate! I got turned on to your work 2 weeks ago via. Toska, figured out why it was great, and bought everything I can find that you've recorded. It slapped 128 GB of other great music right out of the way, and has been the only thing playing in my truck ever since. You're a mathematical wizard, Rabea. Pretty good with a guitar, too.

I first came to know Rabea about 30kg ago. Seeing him not just not-seated, not just outside the studio, but kick flipping and rail grinding is mind-blowing. This is a side of him I had never seen before, and it's beyond refreshing. Kudos. Best wishes and good health! Good luck in physio.

Wow dude you're a really good skater! I skated all my life until probably about 10 years ago. I even met my wife at a skate park. She had taken her younger brother there, and was just sitting around watching him. We've been married almost 20 years. I'm 44 years old now, and I just can't deal with the injuries that inevitably happen while skating. Good on you brother for keeping it going!

As a person about to be 57 in 2 weeks, I have learn how important it is to take care of yourself when your younger. Get well live long and prosper.

Nothing wrong with taking some time to heal up. Take it easy on yourself big man, and thank you for all that you do for the guitar community.

Sucks about your injury, but it's awesome that you got back into that sport. That stuff is important, especially if your job is basically sitting in your studio or in front of a computer all day. Speedy recovery, mate! Take care!

Hey Bea I bought the irithyll burst baritone earlier this year and I love it so much. It's so versatile and I love the design very much. It is a work of art. I play in a worship band at our local church and have been using the baritone there since last month. I'm sure some people are thinking that this guitar doesn't belong there, but I have to disagree. It is such a good instrument and I am thrilled that I can play rock or metal at home and in other bands and play worship music in our church with the same guitar. Thank you for this guitar and I wish you a speedy recovery!

Dude I tore my right medial meniscus twice in high school (same exact injury both times) and it SUCKS. Hope you have a speedy recovery, physio helped so much.

Man I feel like I’m going through the same motions here Bea. 7 years ago I had a meniscus tear and ACL rupture in my right knee and I never had the op to fix it. The doctor said I wouldn’t need the op if I kept up with physio, but hey I was like 18/19, I was young and ignorant, all that mattered to me was playing the guitar and drinking with pals, so obviously I didn’t keep up with physio. 7 years later, here I am trying to get back into sport and just some physical activity and I’ve found a love in running. However the knee injury that was left untreated has created so many other issues, it’s like my body is fighting me and just telling me to give up, you can’t run. However it didn’t stop me, every month I have a new injury and every month I find a new way to combat it and find a way to keep me running. Like you with your love for skating, running has become a real eye opener to me, almost giving me a new walk of life. I can only imagine how good skating has made you feel, as finding a new physical activity outside of my normal hobbies (music/gaming) has given me such a buzz and it’s addictive. So with all that being said, I think you’ve got the right mentality, prep your body, do the physio and come back fighting stronger. You’re a top bloke Bea and have a great work rate and mentality, I know that when you do get back to skating, you’ll be enjoying it to the fullest and I can’t wait for ya to get back out there! Peace ✌🏻

Was slightly expecting one of the Silo pickup cover designs to be a diagram of a busted knee. Injury aside, thank you for your positive attitude and sharing some of your positivity with a world that is in great need of it.

I could watch the skating all day. Grew up a big fan of skating and did so until I landed on my head and shoulder, and said nah I'm done. But still will watch it. And any music you release I'm always excited to listen to. You are one of my inspirations musically. Well wishes to you and hope for a speedy recovery.

I bought a new board at age 49 not having been on one for 20+ years and being a good 30lbs heavier. I fell off the same day and hurt my wrist but carried on skating .. wrist still hurt the following week at work as a Hgv driver loading and unloading roofing supplies.. The wife eventually persuaded me to go to the doc and X-rays found I’d broken my ulna in threes places … I had it a purple (Hendrix )cast for 9 weeks and now I’m back skating.. 🤘

Excited about the prospect of getting my Quad Cortex, (Australian shipment due soon). I've been a professional muso since the beginning of the 80's, had a few years hiatus from 2009-15 and realised how quickly everything changed! There was no way I could run my quad box(es) the way I wanted to in most venues anymore, and although my Amp1 is 'kind of' there, I found I was adjusting my playing around it, plus it has a weird icey?ness to the tones. Anyhow, I first discovered it (Q.C) through you, on the Andertons review and the rest is history! Been lucky in Queensland Australia, I've been gigging fairly solidly since October 2020. Thanks for your informative content and enthusiasm!

I'm sorry about your knee bro. I know the feeling of losing something you love. I've hurt both my arms and it's been a year since I've been able to play guitar. Found it very difficult, my one passion taken away. Worst timing with lockdown and stuff. Good luck on your recovery.

Nice to see the pickup art. I hope you have great success with it, and start a new trend. I have long bemoaned the fact that pickup makers were completely ignoring this most obvious of canvases. Other than a couple cheap imports with tortoise shell on them (a no-brainer), and a few random others, or expensive wooden ones, I have rarely been able to find any sort of unusual pickups I would like to compliment a guitar build. Just the same ol' silver humbucker. Seems so obvious a place for individuation or brand identity.

Hope you make a quick recovery. Last year I had to have my knee drained twice. They pulled 70ml of fluid off each time. No idea how I injured it but I'm glad I had the surgery to repair the meniscus. I have two small incision marks. I honestly had zero pain and aside from a few days of icing I didn't have much recovery. I just took it easy starting to use it again. It was a much better experience than I'd expected.

Rabea, it's great to see ya again! I winced when I saw "injuries" in the title, and not that any injury is good, but thank goodness it wasn't your arms, hands, or head! I’m 41, got into BMX a couple of years back but broke a bunch of bones on my MTB including my Femur 🦴. Picked up a guitar last year as a backup plan for my next hobby and have fallen in love with it, not played since I was a young teenager. It’s mad how you go back to your youth and find home eh?

In Canada hockey causes many knee injuries (among others) - the saying is you don't play hockey to stay in shape, you stay in shape to play hockey - I guess same thing applies to skateboarding

Rabea your injury, I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. Good that wasn't your hands. I tore all the meniscus in my left knee I had surgery,. I can identify, I don't skate any more at 72 I'm a bit long in the tooth to got through another recovery, though I always know when it's going to rains. Good Luck. Beautiful designs

Started skating when I was 12 and stopped around the age of 20, I got inspired to start again last year but got injured really badly. I broke my wrist and had to have surgery to put a metal plate in. It really sucked, I couldn't play guitar for a long time, at least 6-7 months. Just wanted to say be careful man! and wear those wrist guards! I Hope your knee recovers, and at least you can play guitar!

Dude you skate really really well. I got back into it late in my 40’s. got injured , had surgery, and still skate after till this day and love it more and more. It’s the perfect physical yang to the yin of playing guitar.

Dude, those are some seriously sick post-Mullen street skate moves you got there Bea! Your personal transformation has been truly inspirational mate. Good show! Yeah, I had similar skateboard related injury were I had almost completely torn a knee ligament ages ago, like late 80's ages ago. lol! Kind of gave up the whole "fighting with the concrete" after that. Gracefulness is not one of my personal attributes unfortunately. I actually have seen your Sig, as well as some other Chapman Guitars, in my usual online merchants of choice. Not seen your Baritone yet, and I will admit I'm not exactly keen on the fade finish options with the standard ML1 Modern Baritones, but I do think it's really awesome Chapman offers one at that competitive price point nonetheless. Just got a new Squier Carbronita Tele Baritone after kicking myself for completely missing the boat on the prior 30" scale Jazzmaster ones, and it's been such a complete game changer for me. I think we're all on the same page regarding the pandemic. When you're talking about "what feels right", "what make me feel good", I totally see me in what you're saying ! We've reached a point where we have to do things that make us feel good cause lot of things outside are not that good haha. On a positive note, I've made things in music I might not have been able to do if there was no pandemic and lockdown ! Keep up the awesome work man, love your music and the vibes
