Fellow South Carolinian here. Just to trigger people both SC and NC used to be the same state. Charleston South Carolina actually used to be the Capital of the Southern United States in the late 1600s into the early 1700s. Both states are great and they both have the name "Carolina" in them. Also if you have family in the Carolinas more than likely throughout history you have had ancestors from both states. Btw in 2023 South Carolina was the most moved to state. South Carolina is getting more popular and so is North Carolina.
Don’t forget to add sports. NC is home to lots of NASCAR teams, an F1 team, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Carolina Panthers(technically part of both Carolinas, but it’s based in Charlotte); while I’m not sure what’s based in SC that is that big and national
I also forgot to add the ungodly amount of speedways. There’s the Charlotte Motor Speedway(which is one of the biggest in the world), and then there are dozens of smaller ones such as the Orange County Speedway and the Wake County Speedway

Having lived in both. NC seams to have twice the crime and corruption. And SC is more peacful and the livins cheaper. Both will always be home to me. Because they are the Carolinas.
well when I say “not home to” I mean there aren’t many large companies headquartered in South Carolina. But, large companies like Boeing have large operations in the state.

Same and that ALOT other food and drink companies were founded in NC like Hardee’s, Pepsi, and Bojangles (im not gonna look for more right now because its 1AM. But there good point
True and I live in Hartsville SC, and he forgot a worldwide company that came from there, it is sonoco if you search it up it says: “Sonoco is a $5 billion global provider of consumer packaging, industrial products and packaging supply chain services” think that’s pretty but beats me.
