A lot of nutrition content feels very restrictive and complicated, so I’m especially grateful for dietitians like you who promote and celebrate the simple joys of eating a big sandwich with all the fixings while picnicking! You make a healthy diet seem much more approachable for people like me. I’m also happy to see that you and your friends enjoy Shrek 2. Good taste all around
This is the kindest comment :’) Sometimes I feel like my content is unnecessary or annoying (hence why I don’t upload as often), but this truly made my day Also so glad to know other people agree that Shrek 2 is superior 😌
@@NutritionByKylie your content is very necessary and also not annoying. I've had IBS for a couple of years, and it's really nice to see content from someone with both the same condition, AND the education and experience to offer good information. So much of the info online about IBS is complete bunk or locked behind an overpriced course, and the info you give is so valuable
I love watching your videos!! I have adhd and potentially ibs (which I only got to know about from you). I got to know so many great tips from you!! For example, the microwave steamer is a life saver!! I easily cook veggies and eat way more now since it's less of a hassle! As well as the positive mindset you spread, which really keeps me going!!! "Remember, think about what you can add, not subtract." I hope you keep posting your videos because they really do help me make a difference in my diet and make my life easier. Much love. I am very grateful for the content. ❤
@NutritionByKylie No, please tell that voice in your head to be quiet. Your content is so comforting, your recipes are easy and tasty and nourish the soul as well as the body. And you're the only content creator who talks about food who includes us chronically ill people in their considerations. You're lovely. Please upload more often!
In the summer "movies in the park" are common. Take a look at your local cities to see if they are playing a movie you'd like to watch outside. They are fun!
What you often say in your videos, “think about what you can add, not what to subtract from your meals”, has been so incredibly helpful to me. It’s been so helpful just adding some snack veggies to my meals, instead of trying to replace carbs or fat with them. I’m so grateful for your tips. The sandwich looked great, I hope you had a wonderful time at the Shrek 2 picnic!
One of my fave purchases! And it definitely was 😅 I ended up making two of them and cut them into halves since there were four of us but I def could’ve fed more people!!
Kylie I just wanted to say I am recovering from an eating disorder and have always loved food so when I see you openly enjoying all aspects of food it makes me feel like I can love food too 😊
hii! I may not know u on a personal level, but I js wanna congratulate u for making an effort to recover from an ed, and please remember that you deserve to eat. have a wonderful day, and wish u the best 💗
watching you prepare food has made me love trying food again. as someone with adhd and great avoidance for a lot of specific textures and certain foods, seeing the way you've prepared everything and the time and understanding you show for the different members of your audience has been truly heartwarming ❤ thank you
Kylie, I have IBS, no gallbladder, PCOS and migraine syndrome. Needless to say nutrition is something that can be a tricky uphill battle on my best days. Your channel has made things so much easier and you have given me inspiration for meals that I might not have thought of myself. Please don’t ever stop posting! You have no idea how inspiring you are or how much of a positive impact you have on so many of us! Sending love and prayers to you always! May He bless and keep you always! 💖🥰💖
it's videos like this that have truly revolutionized the way i've approached eating. i struggled a lot with eating in the past but realizing that the additive approach to diet will help me more in the long run rather than the restrictive approach has helped me make more progress physically and mentally than twelve years of therapy. thank you for existing and thank you for being vulnerable enough to post content on the internet in this day and age. it truly takes an incredible kind of person to be a public figure and i don't know where i would be in my food journey without you.
Just wanted to say thank you for spreading such a positive message with all your videos! I remember when you told us to think about what to add, not subtract and that helped me incorporate a bunch of fruits and veggies into my already regular meals and I noticed that my energy levels are higher and my mood is also better ❤ I am finally able to workout consistently for the past 2 months without crashing or being too fatigued to workout. It is a part of my routine now. I used to just subtract from my meals and feel tired/not satisfied and that never ended up sticking for more than 2 days so now I am eating a lot healthier, more balanced, being a lot more active, and actually getting a lot less intense cravings than I used to so (I used to get them all of a sudden and it would disrupt my mood if I didn’t go to the store immediately to get whatever food I wanted but now, I of course still have cravings and I always honor them but they are much less influential on my mood which I love) so thank you again! :)
I just adore you. You’re what I wish every person had access to as a dietitian. I went to a dietitian years ago and she had a very similar mindset like you when it came to cooking and it changed my life. Cooking doesn’t have to be hard. You present food and healthy choices in a way that is stress free, healthy, and time saving. Never change.
I just wanted to let you know that I really love your channel and your approach to balanced food, not restrictive but about enjoying it. Thank you very much and keep going :)
I bought a nicer dicer thanks to your videos, I’ve been wanting that thing for 10 years but always thought “it’s not necessary”, I am so happy with my nicer dicer now, you have no idea ❤
I'm in dental school and have been inspired by your simple way of nutritious eating. It's so hard to make food even on the weekend because of how busy I am because I just don't feel like doing it, but your tutorials have been very helpful. I also suffer from IBD so I absolutely love that you post recipes that are IBD/IBS friendly. Thank you so much
Yum! Only thing id change is the meat since i like ham and pepperoni with those kinds of toppings, but absolutely delicious and satisfying. Nothing like a well made sandwich. Also, i hate chopping veggies but hearing it done is 10/10 audio. Could listen to veggie chopping ASMR for a while 😅
You know, noticing those sounds is a hallmark for someone who is perceptive and sensitive, and some of the greatest authors have those qualities! I wish I could reach into the screen and take the sandwich though. It's such a big sandwich, it would still be a good sized bite of flavor awesomeness! 😂
I have a severe eating disorder that i was taken to the ER many times for lassing oit ur videos have given me so much confidence thank you kylie u saved someone's life
I love your videos so much, they've been really helpful for me. I've been told some months ago that I was two steps ahead of having diabetes and basically everything about my state was terrible, even before I've been having problems with cholesterol and my weight since younger so at this point I was just considerate stop eating at all in order to "regulate" everything and I feel guilty every time I had something sweet and basically start to develop a hurtful relationship with food in general. Your phrase about adding instead of subtracting has become my little mantra; planning my meals with that in mind made me slowly had a better relationship with food and I thank you for that.
Something that’s really exciting is bringing all trends back and everyone wearing the trends they enjoy the most or looks best on them! I love the blur of trend eras and everyone just going for what speaks to them!
Kylie, i really appreciate your videos. They’ve helped to heal my relationship with food a lot. I’m in my first trimester of pregnancy and really struggling as all I’ve been wanting is carbs lately (this baby is running on frosted flakes exclusively) so I’m looking forward to trying this out once I’m out of the woods here! Thanks for all your work.
Incredible sandwich! Suggestion, put the tomatoes on last so they be close to the bread. Tomatoes are juicy and slippery and cause the sandwich to fall apart when you bite it.
I have to say, I REALLY enjoy your videos. I love the simplicity in your recipes. I don't know how to cook or make recipes that way (making quick and simple foods that is). Under diet restrictions from my PCP, I have to eat low to zero carbs/sugars. Fortunately, I've learned a couple of tricks for substitutions. However, I MISS BREAD OH SO MUCH! I've been using Ezekiel, but it's not the same as the divine sourdough or just plain regular white bread.
I do something similar but I scoop out 2/3 of the dough on each half. It means the huge filling doesn’t fall out and when you cut it , it all holds together. Also, it disposes of all those carbs. I love your channel. Cheers!
I thought the short I watched last night where you showed us a rice cooker dish and you read a shrek book was a meme. But you’re actually a fan and I love that ❤
Currently have been going back to old habits of eating things i know makes me feel bad, but seeing your content helps a lot and reminds me to stick to the basics and start from there ❤
This looks sooo good 😍 what kind of turkey do you use? I saw recently a lot about how cancerous processed meats are. I guess they’re on the same list as asbestos, cigarettes, alcohol etc. would love to know your thoughts , you’re my fav dietician to watch and have taught me so much❤
I love both the ASMR of this and also that sandwich looks so good. As a veg I’d swap out that turkey for tofurkey slices but wow , such delicious content Xd 😂 ❤
This is kinda random but I’ve been looking for the perfect bread for garlic bread, and that looks like it. What bread did you use??? Also love your recipes and was hoping you could make a garlic bread recipe ❤❤❤
Looks sooo good with all the fresh ingredients! I loveee my sauce so I’d definitely add more mayo and mustard. I’m such a big sandwhich/ wrap person and so need to make this 🙌
