Hello my loveliest RU-vid fam, I hope you’re all doing amazing! I recently got back from London and, honestly, I was feeling a bit low on energy and unmotivated, but I finally decided to pick up the camera again. Even though I absolutely looove filming for RU-vid, there are times when creating content feels challenging. These moments are totally normal, but during them it’s crucial to embrace them and take time to recharge and relax. I often struggle with feeling guilty when I’m not being productive, which I know isn’t healthy nor is the correct mindset. If you can relate, please let me know in the comments - I’d love to hear if you can relate and how you get over feeling guilty. Because if this, I decided to embrace slow living in this week’s video and I hope you’ll enjoy it. I cooked come delicious meals and I hope you will get some new ideas for recipes you can make at home. Exercise can help with getting back on track and make you feel much better and more energized, so I decided to go to pilates class, which was incredibly rejuvenating. Sun was shining that day so Helgi and I decided to go to our favorite tanning spot, Nordhavn, and we had the best time together.

It is completely normal that you can't rest while it is messy. Even since based: Clutter can increase cortisol, the “stress hormone.” A study by UCLA found a link between a high density of household objects and elevated cortisol. Messy spaces signal the need for future cleaning, and the mental weight of knowing it needs to be addressed increases stress. For women especially it is really hard. all the love Birta!

Thanks for sharing! I feel it too! And in these guilty moments I'm reminded of what my psychologist said. "Don't berate yourself and focus on a present moment". So i do three things: go meditate, find the calm spot in my body (midbelly) and also read Pushkin's poems. I take a sharp breath through the mouth and read slowly on the exhale. It helps to relax and feel better💌

Hi Birta, I love reading and I always recommend My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante. It's the story of a friendship between two Neapolitan girls in the 50s and it's narrated by one of them. The whole saga (4 books) covers their entire life. It's so compelling, the characters are very complex and well written. I always re-read these books and they make me emotional every time.

I totally agree about what you said that's life about ups and downs. On these days, when social media is growing up so fast and we have an easy access to see other people's life moments almost everyday just in our hand. But sometimes as a human we forgot that people just showing off the best part of their life, not everything. I personally struggle to feel enough about my life and myself. I follow many of influencers on Instagram and always catch up with their aesthetic contents everyday. But turns out I feel so envy about their life. I always wondering why my life not as fun as they have. Why I don't have a lot of money and fun job like influencers now days. Why my house not aesthetic as theirs. Why my wardrobe not expensive as theirs. Why I don't have that kind of "Life Goals". But when an influencers & content creator called "Birta" made this kind of realistic & natural content, that makes me feeling better. And remind me that having everything it doesn't mean you always be happy. But happiness is when you can be grateful about what you have and don't be bothered about other people life. Thank you for showing us your flaws, your realistic version!

The papaya was still a bit underripe! To make it ripen faster, wrap it in newspaper and put it somewhere dark. After 1-2 days, it'll be perfect! It should look a bit more orange on the outside.

I just finished « Cleopatra and Frankeinstein » by Coco Mellors and it’s honestly so good I’m confident you would love it! It’s a mix of romance, human relationship in general, the complexity of life and its aspects. I recommend it 100%. It’s quite an easy read :)
