The joy of going anywhere with small kids: 3 hours packing everything up for 30 minutes in a restaurant. Also "a kid raised in the nineties, trying is all that matters". Hahaha OUCH. I was raising a boy in the 90's. The old trophies just for breathing days. My son spent T ball sitting in the outfield picking flowers like Ferdinand the Bull. Good thing he picked up IT.

I'm not a newbie to this channel. However, it still amazes me how much apartments cost in NY for what they are. The lockdowns have driven some people away to other states. Once people have tasted what 1-2K can buy elsewhere, I'm not sure they'll flock back to NY. Landlords might want to keep rents low.

I watch all the shiney redone sterile gray and white places thinking, "...but what about the places with character that I keep hearing about??" Every time he shows one, I'm horrified. I never even go to look at new apartments because they feel "wrong" to me, but those are no way, at any price (toss in bugs and rodents, and I run screaming).

Cash needs the work - its to raise small children in NY. There are no open spaces like in suburbia so there are compromises that come with this family life. Nice video. I once carried a stroller for a lady down 9 flights of stairs in my apartment building in Shin Osaka when the elevator was out of service. She carried her baby while I carried the stroller. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable carrying the baby. The only thing I liked about these 2 apartments was the view from the second one. When my niece was a little girl that age, I got her a harness and a leash. She no longer had to walk around with her arm in the air, I could carry things, and if I had to stand at a counter she could move about and not be separated from me. Perfect for both of us.

Lovely family Cash! You remind me of my wife and kid early 2000s running around the city, bringing the stroller up and down the subway. My wife had mapped out all the elevators she could so it was easier at those stations. She wanted to write a blog on it but we went to a Barnes & Noble at the time and someone had mapped out the elevators in the NYC subway systems just for that...strollers, wheelchair, etc. We were like...dangit! Someone beat us to the punch. ;) Great family, belated Happy Father's Day.

@STARRLO That's how kids usually behave when their father isn't the authoritarian figure in the family. Had it been the kid's mother who told her not to touch the alarm, it's doubtful that the kid would have challenged HER.

@@shirleypena4133 I think that depends on the kid. I'm a divorced mother of 3. I'm the one running the show here and that's exactly how my boys would have acted. I had to keep right after them. I couldn't take my eye off them for a minute. I don't think it means that Cash doesn't have authority in his home. I think it's far more likely that he has a fearless child. Besides I've never heard of a in tact nuclear family where the mother wasn't the one really running the home and the father just thinks that he runs it! Lol We don't really know their family situation and if people keep being negative, he will stop letting us in.

Ok, would it be alright if I said that you are just adorable and you are doing a fantastic job as a dad! love your videos and seeing how much NYC has changed in the 20 years (10/2003) since I left. How did I do that back then, lived there 25 years - arrived at 18 and left at 42. Today I am 62, which is why I feel I can say you are a great young man! Your videos are spot on for humor, respect, encouragement, positivity and intelligent ambition. Very creative and vibrant. I just watched this video now. And being in nutrition for 30 years. Take your vitamins with water. When you take it with coffee you do not absorb as much. Take most of your vitamins after you eat. They absorb better with food unless it specifies on an empty stomach. Blessings, to you and your family

You have talent. That was probably the worst apt Ive seen but you still make the video fun! You need to branch out. Maybe go on vacations or maybe do some random stuff around the city idk.

I do think you are talented behind the camera. You are great great at advertising those Apts. Like today..that first one should be given a violation ticket for the electric in the kitchen. I don't no about nyc..but that was clear violation for fire code in my part of the country. But you made it into a great apt. Showing the good parts.

@@estherma7408 seriously, the layouts make it obvious a landlord somewhere sliced them up without a clue as to what he was doing. Nothing less than a gut of the building is going to undo that.

Thanks for showing us the reality of living in NYC by sharing your apt, commute, work & family with us. I know people sometime glamorize living in NYC without realizing the small size of the apts and the difficulties in getting around the many stairs in the subway system with strollers and shopping carts. I’ll never move out of NYC due to the conveniences & diversities of living here. But there are days when I’m envious of friends in the burbs with the large living space, washer & dryer in their house and the convenience of hopping into the car for shopping & outings! I enjoyed watching your apt tours but I look forward to watching your vlogs more for the relatable experiences of a fellow New Yorker.
