That's our Dunkin Donuts. I don't like Starbucks coffee. I don't eat donuts, never liked them. Love the coffee roll, though lately they've been skimping on the cinnamon. I used to live up the block from there. I lived in four places in Riverdale and Marble Hill before my second husband bought me the house in Bronxville. I always run into someone I know from the neighborhood in that Duckin Donuts.

When you have a up-chuckiing child you are NOT at rest. You must not have children. You sit in a car that smells like vomit, you have to figure out what to do with the barf clothes so the rest of the clothes in the suitcase don't smell like vomit, every bite of food or sip of beverage you watch like a hawk because it may be coming back at any second and you will have to scramble. So he was dealing with a pukey kid and bored. I would say he wasn't at rest and the video was heavily edited.

Me too, unless i'm the one driving. They said it has something to do with your view of the horizon and your inner ear. Maybe cartoons on a tablet might help?

Dramamine makes kids uncontrollably sleepy (I was a carsick kid myself). Ginger (the spice) is good at preventing carsickness - there is ginger candy, ginger lozenges, and ginger capsules.

I'm an herbalist and yes I think candied ginger works well for most people. Even nonalcoholic ginger beer or fresh root tea as well.

Also with Dramamine, a heavy dose of irritability as it wears off is also a side effect, in my experience. You become almost hyper-triggered.

Worked a bit when i was a kid. So did those bracelets on the pressure point of my wrists ( they sell them on line or at travel stores...if any travel stores survived the pandemic). Great vlog

Thanks for taking us along, Cash! I'm already looking forward to the sequel!---I used to get queazy when reading in a moving car but grew out of it.---Same here. I don't drive much. I don't drive at all but I keep my license up to date for ID. I always say that I can drive well enough to get someone to the hospital--and create some new patients along the way!

I used to get carsick as a kid and when we would drive up to the Adirondacks for 2 weeks I always had to have barf bags in the car. Sitting in the front seat helps but unfortunately for Violet she can't. Try wrist sea bands and next time be prepared with paper towels, wipes and plastic barf bags. Poor baby!

Love your real estate videos and the personal adventures with the family. It's interesting to see your journey as a first time parent. It's a pretty steep learning curve. I always say that with the first child you learn how to parent and lose the self centeredness. With the second, you learn how to juggle. With the third, it's nuts because you are out numbered. After that, you're ready for anything. From a parent of five. Best wishes.

Hello Cash, I’ve been watching your videos for close to 2 years now...already 😳 I live in the UK, but lived in NYC, and visit regularly, it’s my husband’s hometown. For a while I dabbled with the idea of staying there, and remember trawling through apartments to rent..takes me back. You have a wonderful, entertaining and informative delivery, and I’m loving the new addition of “life” content. You have a lovely family, you’re down to earth and real, and feet firmly grounded. 🗣🎤 Tuned in ☕️ Yes Poughkeepsie is nice. Orange County NY. There’s a drive in movie in the town of Warwick & also a vineyard (for date night). Nice traveling via metro-north too, the Hudson River line. Perhaps some outlet shopping in Woodbury commons. They’re all small towns within a stones toss of each other. Nice family. Have fun 💞

Ohh man I feel bad for violet …I used to get motion sickness as kid as well. Here’s the thing did you have the windows closed at all times because if you did you have to at least open a window so that the air (while driving) can let her cool down, I did that when I used to get motion sickness. The driving my have been part of the problem too but you did say you had bumpy roads. Also I will be honest car smell it’s a thing. If the car has that car limousine smell (like concentrated indoor smell) yeah that could probably do it too. Remember you got a rental and unless it’s your actual car people barely clean them well

What a sweet little family getaway ❤️ It's always nice to travel for a change of scenery. My son lives in NYC and has been taking long weekends to the Adirondacks, Hudson, NY, Bear Mountain, and is fortunate to have a friend who invites him to his home in the Hamptons. On another topic, I noticed how defined my son's legs are, especially his calf muscles, the last time he was home. I noticed your legs are pretty toned too, it has to be from all the walking and stair climbing you do in NYC. My job requires I sit for long hours every day, and I have noticed how weak my legs are becoming from my sedentary lifestyle, and started to worry that this was going to be a big problem as I continue to age. I remember my grandfather, who was a big proponent for exercise and physical fitness, telling me not to lose my legs. As a young person I would just smile and nod when he would say that, but now I know what he meant! Keep walking Cash! 🚶🏼
