Hello everyone, Aaron here, I'm genuinely glad you've joined us today. If you're watching this video, it might be because you're considering giving up an addiction that's been weighing you down. This video is a short but important one as we grow this channel together.
➡️ "Quitting Together" is still a budding channel, and I'm striving to create daily content that resonates with you. I'm reaching out to you for ideas on topics you'd like to see covered, or even better, if you're interested in being interviewed. Whether you've been sober for years, just started your sobriety journey, are still contemplating sobriety, or even if you have opposing views on topics like marijuana use, I'd love to hear from you. Your perspectives are valuable, and sharing them can help build our community.
Moreover, if you have expertise in the medical field or any area related to addiction and recovery, and you believe you have insights to share, I'm eager to connect with you for a conversation.
Remember, this is just a quick message to encourage your participation. I'll be back tomorrow with a more in-depth video, but I wanted to open the floor to your ideas and suggestions. Comment below with what you'd like to see on this channel.
It's been five days since we started this journey together, and we're nearing a full week of recovery. Thank you for being a part of my journey, and I'm excited to be a part of yours too. See you tomorrow, and remember, we're in this together.

✅ Welcome to the official RU-vid channel of Quitting Together, a place dedicated to those of us on a journey to recovery, especially from marijuana addiction.
This channel is not about demonizing marijuana; in fact, I acknowledge and support the right to choose. Marijuana can have positive impacts, as it did in my life for a long time. But, like many, I reached a point where it started to take more than it gave. If you find yourself in a similar situation, where marijuana has begun to overshadow other aspects of your life, I invite you to join me on this path to recovery.
➡️ Here, you'll find content that tracks my personal journey from day one of sobriety. This channel aims to provide a supportive community for those who are looking to break free from what is often considered a "non-addictive" substance, yet find it challenging to let go of. Each video is a step in the ongoing process of overcoming addiction and rediscovering the joys of a life not dependent on marijuana.
Whether you're newly sober, considering sobriety, or have been on this path for a while, there's something here for you. I share not only my experiences and challenges but also invite guests to discuss various aspects of addiction, recovery, and mental health. From professional insights to personal stories, each video is an opportunity to learn, grow, and find support.
🎬 Subscribe and never miss a video. Hit the bell (🔔) for notifications on new uploads as we embark on this journey together. This is a safe space for healing, learning, and growing. Let's navigate the path of recovery as a united community.

100%! It’s been really tough because anytime I’m listening to a podcast or anything and they talk about how much they enjoy weed or they’re smoking weed. It’s incredibly triggering for me but we’re working on it.

I'd love to see more about your journey with music/your creative flow and how it gets impacted by your consumption! Stay strong, stay safe

I think that would be a great one to do! I’m currently taking this week off work to focus on recovery. Maybe when I start back up next week, I could make a video on that. Day 6! LETS GO!!!

i love that ur doing these videos and have watched them at the end of every day so far this year. i think having other people on and different view points is a great idea! drug use and addiction are such misinformed topics and looked at far more simply than they are. for me the struggle when sober is to have a hobby, because im clinically depressed its hard to enjoy any hobbies anymore. im just a shell of a person with no real passions besides my gf but our relationship isnt always the best and shes not always the comfort i wish she was.

First, thanks for the encouragement and feedback! I appreciate it! As someone who myself has struggled a lot with depression, I must say if you want to change, you have to make a change. Idk your situation, but what can you do to rearrange your life in a significant way? Getting sober is a huge one and the biggest one for me! On top of that creating a good routine everyday can work wonders! Keep checking in. I would love to hear about your progress.

@@Quittingtogether Everything feels "new". Almost similar to the feeling of visiting a new country on holiday. I've noticed that food tastes better, music sounds better, and I'm able to think for clearly and be more "present"/self-aware of myself and what's happening around me. I'm no longer scared to check my bank account, and I've picked up hobbies such as going to the gym or playing badminton. I'm living an ordinary life like anyone else, but I feel like I enjoy living more compared to someone who's never been through addiction. For example, I've started enjoying smaller things like bus commutes and cleaning my room, etc. It's almost as if I'm glad to be alive and sober which is something I thought would never happen. The first week was rough, but it's just something we all have to push through :). So I'd say the best part about it is the feeling like I've been blessed with a "Second chance". Wishing you and everyone else the best! : )
