I really enjoy watching your videos but I really love visiting your nursery and talking to you in person. You always say your still learning but you are a wealth of great info on desert roses and succulents. Thanks so much!
Riki Aldridge Hi my friend Riki I’m really thing I’m still learning I,know professional growers and they bean doing for forty year lol 😂 I’m getting closer thank you Maria’s garden
I found your channel yesterday and as you can see, I’m addicted. We are moving to Punta Gorda this month. I’m so excited. I have a desert rose that I had no idea how to take care of. I’m going to try to get it happy after we move in.
Maria you’re always such a joy to watch your videos !!! Now I’m watching them with my granddaughter. She is learning so much about plants . She insisted on watching your video today . Thank you for guiding us and helping us with our desert roses etc.... you inspire so many of us. And I’m so happy , can’t wait to plant my babies this week !!! Love you 😍
The black gold you said isn't the part of coconut (root, palm, leaves) but it's husk of coconut which is grinded powdered and compressed slightly *acidic* in nature
Sandeep naik Hi Sandeep yes you right the black gold is 100% coconut grinder and compressed is product is the best for desert roses I tested for a year was the best results thank you Maria’s garden
Maria, I’m so glad you talked about the mini nuggets today, I too ordered a couple of bags thinking it was going to be the right one for my desert roses, and when the bags arrived last week, they were exactly the same size that your husband bought for you, way too big. I was so upset and sad because I had no use for them that size, and I really hate wasting money on stuff I can’t use....so THANK YOU so much for the idea of putting those nuggets at the bottom of the pots, it’s perfect and still good for my babies!!! I am so happy that I will be able to use them after all and not go to waste. I will go to one of the nurseries and see if I am able to buy from them what I need for my babies. Have a great time repotting your babies my friend😘🌺🌵🐛
Your are so funny, makes me smile every time thanks. Im so looking forward to spring, my 3 seedlings 🌱 desert roses are getting so big in my little homemade greenhouse. It’s 32° here❄️ so they are happy and warm inside. And I’m using my moisture gage. Look forward to the next video.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Maria ese cafe es nuestra perdicion. I love your videos, you are so funny and full of life. You joy doing what you love. Thank you for every video you do. And thank you Lucas for recorded.
You are so brave to wear white tops/t-shirts. Next time you must tell us your laundry secret! lol, but seriously I can't wait to purchase a desert rose from you. Currently your site has no inventory at this time. But I will keep trying. I love playing in dirt, different recipes and such. If I didn't live so far Michigan, I would be coming to see you asap! I'm jealous of all your plants, supplies and yard. I wish I would have started a nursery, but went to Nursing school. I loved that career to, but now that I just turned 60 and have more time I can watch your videos and play in dirt for fun!! Love you my friend! Happy planting!

vanda beharry Hi my friend Venda the answer is yes you need to clean the roots very good before reporting clean any roots are not going to be able to reach the soil also for best results please trim the end of the roots about a inched just like hair cut I’m going to upload a video tomorrow about this subject thank you Maria’s garden
Maria the more I watch your videos more Iike you!! OMG !! Your babies are gorgeous and clean!!😱😱😱 Here in México the growers use something 17-17-17 🤷🏼♀️ i don’t know were to get it, and I don’t know what it means, I have a clue but I don’t know which one is better (yours or 17-17-17) or if it’s good for different age of the plant, and the sulfure, fosfato 😱 I just bought miracle grow in Home Depot 🙈🙈🙈 it’s blue like yours tho 🤣🤣🤣 I’m gonna ask in nurseries maybe I’ll find it..... besos desde México!! Geniales tus videos! Saludos a Lucas !!
Marcia orozco Hi my friend I’m going to UPS if I can send some osmocote 14-14-14 slow release, and sulfur also Phosphorus and I let you I appreciate you kindly comments love 😘🐞🐢🦋🐊
I ordered a big brick of coco coir from Home Depot around 12 bucks and had it shipped to store. It was compacted so much so my son took a saw and cut off a quarter of it and added some water in a big tub. Now the big tub is full with only using a quarter of it! After I mixed it with my other ingredients... My babies love it! 👶👴❤️
@@MariasgardenGarden. Yes everything loves it. It's so much better than peat .. that rots plants and can cause mold. I just couldn't believe how much just a small piece of the brick expanded... It filled a large plastic tub after adding water. Saves so much 💰!
rose5150 hi, can you tell me exactly what ingredients you used, I am having a hard time finding the black gold brand and the rest of the stuff. Now that I know I can buy a brick of coco coir, that will help.
@@rmontalvo64 I bought the brick at home Depot and had it shipped to my store for free... Vitagrow Coco coir block of soil less media 11 lbs. It's compacted so tight and hard.. you'll have to saw a small part off... Then add water... It swells up and makes a lot. Then I put in the sun on a tarp and turn it .. so it dries out a little before I add to my soil mixture. Not sure how others do it but it's working great for me. One bricks gonna last me a long time. Hope it helps😃
Rosie Rose Hi Rosie feel free to call me If you have any time about the mix don’t you worry they’re many other ingredients you can use for you desert rose my number is 941-457-1172 thank you Maria’s garden
McProductions. Hi my McProductions I love plants I’m going to give a few tips desert roses love the sun shine ,very good draining, good soil with a lot nutrients, seal all cutting with cinnamon after pruning and after three four days seal with titebond lll wood glue available at Lowe’s, thank you Maria’s garden
Hi Maria-- I have been looking at your desert rose videos for a while now. Up to now I understood what you are doing with soils, mini-nuggets, sulfur, Sta-Green potting mix and fertilizer but now I am confused. In the past you always said use Osmocote slow release fertilizer but in this video you switched to some fertilizer that is not regularly available to most non-professional growers. My question is--- why aren't you using Osmocote any more? Regarding the Timberline pine bark mini nuggets, my Home Depot in the Tampa area has them in stock for $2.75 for 2 cu ft bag. I hope this helps...
Daryle Domanico Hi Daryle smart questions I’m growing thousand of plants and I need to buy wholesale for my plants but you need to used osmocote 14-14-14 slow release the fertilizer I’m using isn’t available for retail only if you visit you local nursery if you have any questions please feel free to call me a 941-457-1172 thank you Maria’s garden 🐝🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞
