There's a Kickstarter Project right now mixed puzzles, riddle & playing cards. And I am dying to see you to solve it please coz you always get them first. It's called the trial of the Blackbeard by Anti-Faro.
I agree with others that it's great watching you chat. I'd enjoy hearing you talk about traveling without making travel videos. I love how you are so free and generous with sharing tips and your process... that said; there is something magical about having an experience that is yours that fuels your creative process... but is not "work". Hope you have fun doing whatever you're figuring out 😊
For me it's that I have been watching you for a few years and I love the content, and your so good at teaching, that if you started tutorials from scratch, I would watch and learn all over. You're just a cool dude to watch. Magic tutorial Monday, guests, Cardistry Wednesday, puzzles, random day, Card/ Magic reviews, normal Chris/ Flannel Chris videos.. all kinds of possibilities🤷🏻♂️.
I would love horror shorts from you dude. As someone who started watching at magic, and stayed watching with puzzles, I'm hyped for what you you'll make next!
"I enjoy making videos more than I enjoy posting them" that hit me.... I feel the same, with the small difference, that my videos haven't even reached many people...
great advice Chris Ramsay, you always feel real and honest and I appreciate what you bring to your channel. Huge fan and have followed you since day 1. keep being you bro
In my opinion, to deal with a magic burnout, you need to go to a convention. See people doing magic, do tricks and talk to them. I think that doing this enables you to get another view of magic and be able to grow on it.
Loved this video and so agree with how magic has changed. I've been performing for over 30 years and can feel the pressure when performing show with TV & RU-vid magic. I've had t learn and adapt but still love performing old classics. I've actually got back into close up and sleight of hand thanks to your videos and been loving the "shift" from stage to close up.
I've had extremely similar feelings about good stories Chris, it's what constantly draws me back to anything regarding storytelling because of the ability to make people forget reality and get lost in a different world.
This was awesome. You're doing SO much magic content right now, and we're loving it haha. I can't understand some of these questions acting like you're not posting most of the best magic content on youtube, visiting high level competitions, exploring old books, etc. Thanks again for all of it
You're one of my favourite creators Chris. Love your puzzle videos (the first reason I subscribed years ago), the magic vids are an added bonus, & I gotta say that your Area 52 channel excites me & I can't wait to see more of it! 👽
The closing question about becoming a professional magician reminds me of a beginning magician who came to my high school in the early '70s. His father and family owned half the city and businesses there and had bought him some expensive tricks and props along with a huge semi-trailer to haul it around in. His tricks were easy to figure out, but the few close-up bits he did were outstanding. I don't know if he ever made it big, but if he'd figured out earlier that he was better at close-up he probably would have gone much further and saved a huge amount of money.
Mr Ramsay you got all philosophical with us with this one and I liked it. I really liked the part where you spoke of the two types of pain, holy shit it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Dope, love the honest insight, much more compelling than trying to impress the audience with flashy new things, not that anyone is upset with that either ;) thanks!
this is one of the most wholesome guys on youtube itself! like, I absolutely love watching your videos, and it doesn't matter what you post! I am down to watch it! I absolutely love watching you play puzzle games! and you are the one who has gotten me interested in magic! So, you are a blessing! keep up the awesomeness! Love ya!!-
Have been watching the channel for years. Keep up the great content. I found the channel watching you solve puzzles then I came across you performing magic and have been hooked ever since. I've been performing magic since I was a kid and it's always fun to watch you do two things I love.
Chris i love you, i loved your content for the last years... Never let a "slow down" in growth affect you! Show us the future, you are doing your own adventure, you are evolving, all for the best! The best is coming! 😉😘
I love the things you do puzzle 's videos, magic, cards design ,creative 's all of it so what exciting for you is find with me sir . Good luck with the future. (SWEET 💜💯💫)💞💚
Chris just want to tell you that you are an inspiration to some of us that continue to follow our dreams and one day can be as humble and cool as you are! Keep up the great work, love videos always!
Want an idea for a new trick, been looking for comedy routine where cardist so "inept", his card reveals manifest as things like endless scarves, flying doves, a working sink... just about anything but one of the only things he seems to be holding: a bunch of cards. Obvious refs to classic magicians' famous tricks would be good.
I think one important thing to remember is that even though we may not all be the biggest fans of magic, we are all big fans of you and your energy. Keep posting and I will keep watching.
Good stuff. I think a brick & mortar store could exist, but it'd have to provide a service people couldn't get online. Maybe a restaurant like Doc Eason's, or something like the Magic Castle where you're going for a live show. It is sad though; I have so many good memories from going to see and learn magic in person.
Yeah that's what I thought. There could still be physical stores if they had it as like a reasturant accompanied with a show and have a store attached.
18:30 Magic and puzzle fan here. I for one appreciate both being on one channel. It seems to me that when a creator has multiple channels one gets lost in the algorithm more than the other. Because of this I will miss some videos when they are released and may not get them for a while after they go public. Just my thoughts.
To be honest my first impression of you has been your puzzle solving, so I think of you as more of a puzzle solver than a magician; it's just stuck in my mind (even though you are a very accomplished magician).
I couldn't agree more with your point on the importance of performance, i recently had my first proper street magic style performance (you can watch on my channel) and it taught me more than what I had learnt in 7 years of learning magic
16:18 To become a good magician, learn how to use your body. Learn how to act. Curiously good actors can make you believe they can do magic, while many magicians cannot act.
Hey Chris I honestly need to tell you that you and Daniel Madison are the only people that got me back started magic I used to watch David Blaine growing up because I'm from New York but I stopped my magic stuff when I was about a teenager and then I stumbled upon your videos when I was like 19 got me right back into it you gave me confidence to do things that I thought I couldn't do now I do stuff for my friends in public at my job and they love it you and Daniel Madison on my biggest Inspirations in West Barker he's hilarious I love that you and Wes have gotten into the comedy scene Legion of skanks kill Tony all my favorites I hope one day you guys get on Rogan
Show some routine building. Taking the fundamentals to build up a performance. My go to opener is a double lift ambitious. Even if i flash. How many takes to get that, one handed? I like diagonal shift, but i wiggle it gambler's cop.
As a follow up, I think you could be a great at directing a film that has some amount of effects related (especially practical) because you have a real sense of visual and emotional impact of what is being seen by the viewer.
Perfect timing for the tip with the 100 of hours in front of an audience: today I'm performing for about 200 different people like I'm Magic dealer at a convention😅😂
Bro i tried one puzzle.. level 3 outta 5.. i love your videos, been a fan for years.. and then i tried the lighthouse flame.. took me 2 hours... lol have a way better understanding of respect for what you do 😂💯
I have all notifications turned on for your channel and I have for years but I never see any of your videos on my page anymore for like 6 months now🤔 I just thought of you and was wondering why I haven’t seen your stuff and I was worried you quit posting but here you are and I just never get any notifications when you post😢
If you're interested in horror shorts, I'd encourage you to reach out to Wendigoon through your guys @ the Unsubscribe Podcast. This is the collab we all need.
15:20 a friend of my brother was a magician (is dead now unfurtunately) he loved the card through window routine... once he was too drunk to realice that the window was open and he threw the deck out xD... he showed me once a trick that I'm obcesed with, he passed the card through a window table, I know enough now to make a similar trick, but not quite the same... he was pressing the card with one finger and never (as I remember at least) hid the card with his palm, so I have no idea how he recovered the card from the table... maybe I'm missremembering tough
Chris when will you designe your own escape type 3 D puzzle like the ones you have been solving so many times here on you place in cyberspace, and then get someone in that is as good as you are and make that person solve it, maybe you can make a level 11 ore 12, with that huge XP you got solving puzzles
I am not sure who you are, why I am subscribed to you, maybe you were one of the RU-vidrs who I came across some years ago when I was on that "youtube" sorint on a single topic, which was magic at that time, and I lijed your videos.. but here I am 😅
Super cool, I wish I could travel to Asia and write it off 😂 content: pay homage to Canadian magicians lol you’re welcome 😂. Cathartic eh?! I love this content, tonight I just amazed my sons with a twist on your colour change, and I’m good for life with seeing that awe! Cheers!

How does 7 million subscriber channel get this few viewers?
