If he had realized that there were only 3 full white pieces in play, then he could have known to eliminate any iteration which needed 2 vertical white pieces on each side, so there would need to be horizontal rectangles on at least one side in play and possibly both sides if the solution required no full white pieces. That's what made him lose a lot of time.
I've bern following Giancarlo Scalia for several years, and I cannot describe how great of an artist he is. He has that special ability that makes old classic looks like pure magic again by his knowledge and love. raw, powerful and intelligent.
So fun! This is defenitely right up my alley! Also, I believe the yellow circle you tossed aside was meant to go in the middle of the first jigsaw you solved :)
The wood craftsmanship is simply gorgeous, but it really doesn’t look like a fun or satisfying puzzle to solve... Thank you for keeping at it and giving us some closure, I thought, for a moment, it’d just end up "unsolved". Can’t help but wonder if, from a maker’s point of view, it’s easier (better?) to come up with an idea of the steps (or mechanics) you’d like to include first, or if it’s easier to start by the object you’d like to make… and then see what secrets you can fit in… It’s strange cause if I think of every single step, individually, they should feel quite satisfying, the idea is well thought of…!!! Maybe it’s the overall "am I making progress?" retroaction loop that’s not given as clearly as some other puzzles out there. Thank you for the experience!!! Really wish that orb was super pretty, maybe just making it bright coloured glass bead (if magnetism isn’t essential) could give it that last final "oumf" the puzzle seem to be lacking at the moment.
5:25 confused me... I don't get the "one more time", maybe it's less obvious in person? I mean, that's what I would expect if you put a cut back on top. This YFYL had a lot more flash than usual.
My 11 yr old son and I discovered your channel last week and have been obsessed…we’ve been watching from newest to oldest and just came across this video…I just want to say thank you from us both. Mental health is a hard topic and I have struggles of my own and I’ve always taught my son that it’s out there it’s real and all the feelings are valid. Him seeing this and you being someone he thinks is cool, well because you are cool 😊, resonated with him! ❤ thank you for sharing this and this too shall pass
hey chris ! your videos are awesome, both the magic and the puzzles, i keep coming back, usually when i want to be relaxed and simultaneously engaged. i had an idea, but i didnt know if it would be a lot of work or not, - my idea , was maybe making a video of the first 10 or so puzzles someone could purchase if they wanted to get started in puzzle solving but had little experience. beginner puzzles based on difficulty and price.
Been away for a minute and I’ve missed all sorts of decks, but most upset about missing that Summer NOC Max+ XL deck! 😭 Edit: It’s always the Spanish Magicians. Always.
I FOUND YOU TOTALLY BY ACCIDENT! I love the puzzle series content! It’s so cool I think I’ve always liked puzzles and riddles and now I want to try some of these for my self! I did an escape room and loved it! I’d love to even learn about designing them and even making my own deck of cards because of the feeling of a fresh deck of cards! Love this channel definitely gonna sub cuz I wanna see what puzzles are coming next!
